UGC Video Editor for D2C E-Commerce Brand
Estellar Virtual Assistance ServicesWe run a portfolio of direct-to-consumer ecommerce brands in the USA. Our growth comes from one thing: the volume and quality of our creative. We are building an in-house creative team and looking for UGC video editors who live and breathe short-form ads and want to grow into something bigger than editing.
This role is UGC-first. If your background is wedding videos, corporate explainers, or YouTube long-form, this is not the fit. We want editors who have cut real UGC ads: testimonial-style, unboxing, "problem/solution," talking-head hooks etc. that were built to sell and run on paid social.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
You will produce UGC-style Facebook and Instagram video ads for our brands. Every week you will cut new concepts, rework winners into fresh variations, and test new hooks.
A big part of the job is generating your own footage. You will create images and video b-roll with AI tools instead of waiting on a shoot. That means writing good prompts, getting consistent characters and products across shots, and knowing when a generation is usable and when it needs another pass.
Day to day this looks like:
- Editing short-form UGC video ads for paid social, mostly 9:16
- Cutting raw creator/UGC footage into scroll-stopping ads with strong hooks and clean pacing
- Generating image and video b-roll in Higgsfield and similar platforms
- Building variations of proven ads by changing hooks, pacing, captions, and b-roll
- Adding captions, sound design, and music that fit the brand and the UGC format
- Sourcing and organising stock, UGC, and product footage
- Taking direct creative feedback and turning it around fast
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Real experience editing UGC video ads for ecommerce brands specifically. Not general video work, not brand films. You should be able to point to UGC ads you cut that actually ran on Meta
- A strong understanding of what makes UGC convert: native feel, believable creators, hook-first structure, and pacing that holds attention
- Strong command of CapCut, Premiere Pro, or alternative video editing tools
- Hands-on experience with AI image and video models. Nano Banana Pro, ChatGPT Image, Seedance, Kling 3.0, and Sora are the ones we use most, through platforms like Higgsfield, Freepik, and Artlist
- An eye for pacing and hooks. You understand that the first two seconds decide everything
- Fast turnaround without dropping quality
- Comfortable working independently, communicating clearly in English, and being reachable during agreed hours
- Reliable internet and a machine that can handle heavy editing and AI workflows
Experience with AI generation tools is close to mandatory. It is part of the daily workflow here, not a bonus skill.
WHERE THIS ROLE GOES
We invest in our editors. You get direct, continuous feedback on your work and access to the data behind what performs. The path here is editor to creative director to team lead. Over time you take on scripting, concepting, and eventually leading other editors.
COMPENSATION
- 1,200 USD per month, full-time
- Higher compensation is on the table over time based on performance and negotiation
HOURS
Full time, 40 hours per week, remote, Philippines-based. Start date: ASAP.
HOW TO APPLY
Your application will not be reviewed unless it includes both of the following:
- A portfolio of UGC video ads you have edited for ecommerce brands. Attach it or include a link (Drive, Frame.io, personal site) in your application.
- A written description of your experience with AI image and video generation models. Tell us which models and platforms you have used, what you used them for, and what you produced with them. This is required.
Shortlisted candidates will be asked to show proof of their AI work during the interview, so be ready to walk us through your actual generations and how you prompted them.
