About Align HCM

Align HCM is growing! We’re building a contractor bench of experienced UKG Pro / UKG Ready System Consultants and Project Managers to support current and upcoming client engagements.

As a UKG partner, Align HCM works with organizations to improve their HR, benefits, talent management, and payroll processes through effective HCM solutions. This is an opportunity to connect with our growing UKG practice and be considered for contract projects that align with your expertise, availability, and experience.

Whether you specialize in UKG Pro or UKG Ready implementations or have experience leading HCM implementation projects, we’d love to connect with you.

Please note: This is a contractor bench opportunity and does not guarantee an immediate project assignment. Qualified candidates may be added to our contractor bench and contacted when a suitable client engagement becomes available.

What You’ll Do

For Functional Consultant Applicants
  • Support clients through the UKG Pro / UKG Ready implementation lifecycle, from discovery and requirements gathering through configuration, testing, training, deployment, and go-live.

  • Configure, implement, and optimize at least one of the following functional areas: Benefits, Talent, or Payroll, based on client requirements and business processes.

  • Partner with client stakeholders to understand existing workflows, identify process improvements, and translate business requirements into effective UKG solutions.

  • Facilitate client workshops, requirements sessions, system demonstrations, and working sessions within your area of specialization.

  • Support functional configuration, system testing, issue resolution, and deployment activities for assigned UKG modules.

  • Develop and maintain requirements documentation, configuration workbooks, test scripts, training materials, and other project deliverables.

  • Provide post-go-live support, troubleshoot functional and configuration issues, and facilitate knowledge transfer to client teams.

  • Collaborate with project managers, technical teams, and fellow consultants to ensure successful implementation and project delivery.

  • Apply UKG best practices and contribute to continuous improvement and knowledge sharing across the consulting team.

For Project Manager Applicants
  • Lead and coordinate UKG Pro / UKG Ready implementation projects, managing project scope, timelines, milestones, resources, risks, issues, and deliverables.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, facilitating status meetings, providing project updates, and aligning client expectations with project execution.

  • Coordinate functional consultants, technical teams, and client stakeholders throughout the implementation lifecycle.

  • Monitor project progress, proactively identify potential roadblocks, manage escalations, and implement mitigation plans.

  • Maintain project plans, status reports, RAID logs, and other project governance documentation.

  • Ensure project deliverables meet agreed timelines, quality standards, and client expectations.

  • Support project planning, resource allocation, change management, and successful transition to post-go-live support.

What You’ll Bring

For Functional Consultant Applicants
  • At least one year of hands-on implementation experience in UKG Pro or UKG Ready, specializing in at least one of the following modules: Benefits, Talent, or Payroll.

  • Strong functional knowledge of your area of specialization, including experience with implementation, configuration, testing, and deployment.

  • Experience with business process mapping, requirements gathering, functional testing, and implementation delivery.

  • Understanding of relevant HR, benefits, talent management, or payroll processes based on your functional expertise.

  • Experience supporting issue resolution, go-live activities, and post-implementation support.

For Project Manager Applicants
  • Demonstrated experience managing or coordinating HCM system implementations, including project planning, stakeholder management, resource coordination, risk and issue management, and delivery against project timelines.

  • Experience managing UKG Pro or UKG Ready implementations is strongly preferred.

  • Strong organizational, communication, leadership, and client management skills.

  • Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities in a consulting environment.

Requirements for All Applicants

  • Ability to work independently in a remote consulting environment while collaborating effectively with distributed project teams.

  • Contractor commitment: Must be available to dedicate the required working hours and meet project schedules and deliverables once assigned to a client engagement.

  • For US and Canada candidates: Ability to travel for client engagements as needed, up to 10%.
