🌱 Your Next Steps
Our Social Impact Week is about helping you build confidence, gain experience, and develop skills that you can take with you into whatever comes next.
That next step might be a job, further training, or another career opportunity. There may also be the opportunity for eligible participants to progress to the assessment stage for our London Consulting Degree Apprenticeship.
Securing a place on our apprenticeship would give you the opportunity to work towards a BSc in Project Manager over three years at the University of East London while gaining hands-on experience, developing your skills and building your career in Consulting.
Whatever your next step, you’ll leave Social Impact Week with new skills, experience, and connections to help you move forward.
To bring this to life, meet some of our former Social Impact Week participants who went on to join Accenture on our London Consulting Apprenticeship:
- Jess joined Social Impact Week in 2022. She has since completed her apprenticeship, graduating with First Class Honours in September 2025. Today, she works in the Programme Management Office on a large-scale retail SAP transformation, supporting the successful delivery of a complex programme. Jess reflects: “Taking part in the Social Impact Week was an exciting and enlightening experience that gave me a real insight into what working in the corporate world is like. The range of workshops and activities helped me recognise how the skills I already had could be applied in a professional environment, which really boosted my confidence. It was during this week that I realised I had something valuable to offer and that I could thrive in a place like Accenture. The experience not only prepared me for my interview but also gave me the self-belief to step into my apprenticeship ready to take on new challenges. I’m truly grateful for an opportunity that helped kickstart my career and shaped how I see my future.”
- Leah joined Social Impact Week in February 2024. Now in Year 3 of the London Consulting Degree Apprenticeship, she is gaining hands-on experience in the capital markets industry for a major Financial Services client, while leading the apprentice committee. Leah reflects: "Before Social Impact Week, I didn’t really understand what consulting was. This week of collaboration, problem-solving, and teamwork gave me a real insight into the consulting world - how consultants think, work with clients, and create impact. It also helped me build my confidence massively; it was my first time in a professional corporate environment, interacting with industry professionals and working in teams on business challenges. The experience really prepared me for future interviews and assessment activities in the recruitment process. If you’re looking for direction, want to challenge yourself, and build your confidence and people skills, I’d definitely recommend taking part in Social Impact Week - it’s an incredible opportunity to learn, grow, and discover what consulting is all about.
- Tymon joined Social Impact Week in February 2025. He is now in Year 2 of the London Consulting Degree Apprenticeship and works as a Business Analyst, leading and supporting technical workstreams for a major utilities, energy and nuclear client, helping them get the most out of their core software to strengthen asset management across the whole business. “Before Social Impact Week, I wasn’t very aware of who Accenture were or what a consultant did. Having decided to make the transition towards a role I’d wanted for a long while, I took on the challenge of putting myself in a consultant’s shoes for a week. Over the week, I had the opportunity to work in teams on real business challenges, network with like-minded individuals who wanted to achieve big goals in their own careers and hear from people across the business. This showed me how varied and rewarding the work can be. Being able to visit the office in person also gave me a whole new perspective on the professional environment, and I saw how much Accenture care about looking after their employees. That was one of the highlights of the week, and it helped me realise that I could contribute, ask questions and bring my own ideas to the table without feeling judged, knowing I would be heard and supported. The experience gave me every confidence that Accenture would be the right place for me and inspired me to really do well in the application process. Now, working with clients on large technical programmes, I still use the problem-solving, teamwork, and ability to adapt to different working styles that I first developed during that week. My advice: if you’re looking to change direction or aren’t quite sure what you want to do, I would definitely encourage you to take part in Social Impact Week. It’s a fantastic way to discover what you’re capable of, become more aware of your purpose and achieve the goals you set for yourself.
