JOB SUMMARY: This role will lead the upstream marketing effort and portfolio strategy development and implementation for Midmark globally, excluding India. Work jointly with Engineering, Product Development, Business Units, Downstream Marketing and Corporate Strategy Development to create customer-centric product strategies for the medical and dental markets to ensure a strong pipeline for future growth. Lead the coordination of business cases, development with engineering and launch of new products, in partnership with downstream marketing and sales organizations. Lead market development efforts by identifying, supporting and recommending new areas of growth beyond existing product lines. Managing Product Managers, this role will also need to have a high EQ to work effectively with other functions in the company. This role is a hybrid role expected to be on-site in the Versailles, Ohio location 4 days a week and 1 day remote. This is not a remote position. ESSENTIAL/PRIMARY DUTIES: With the strategic marketing leadership team, develop and oversee implementation of product strategies to maximize the revenue potential from current assets. This would include: Supporting the development of corporate and divisional product strategies within Midmark’s medical and dental business units Translate corporate business goals to strategic plans that will drive revenues and exceed financial performance expectations worldwide. Leading the execution through PRP processes Creates multi-year strategic growth plans and a robust global product roadmaps, drives alignment on strategy with Sr. Leadership and R&D peers Direct line management of Product Managers for programs and projects Deliver and/or present documents, presentations, etc., monthly to PRP Governance Team Create global market overview maps of key applications and technologies Identify and predict strategic competitive plays and market positioning. Map out competitive strategy and develop / execute strategy to advance the business Bring a creative and innovative approach to one’s work to differentiate company products from competitors in the marketplace Analyze qualitative and quantitative market data in order to identify trends in the market and thereby, translate these trends into business opportunities and actions. Conduct opportunity modeling of new technology platforms including cannibalization / obsolescence of existing products Identify immediate, midterm and long term product gaps within the portfolio and provide solutions to fill the gaps Determine / prioritize key unmet needs and opportunities through QFD and KANO modelling Use physician network to assemble customer insights – formally or informally – to inform our pipeline strategy SECONDARY DUTIES: N/A EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in life science or business discipline required, MBA preferred Ideally an advanced scientific degree Minimum of 5 years of upstream product marketing management experience; experience in a medical device company preferred Demonstrated success in leading medical device product development through to commercial launch Strong people management experience and success in working in complex organizations Midmark will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States.
