What You’ll Create and Do as a US Law Clerk, you will work under attorney supervision, preparing and submitting timely immigration-benefits requests for large and emerging companies, their noncitizen employees, and their families.


Role Description

As a U.S. Business Immigration Law Clerk, you will work under attorney supervision to prepare and file employment-based immigration matters for multinational organizations, emerging companies, foreign national employees, and their families. You will play an important role in delivering high-quality immigration services while supporting client programs, mentoring team members, and driving efficient service delivery across a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

This position may be filled at either the Associate or Senior Associate level based on experience, qualifications, and business needs.

What You'll Do

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and mentor junior Business Immigration Analysts, providing guidance on case preparation, quality standards, and best practices.
  • Draft complex employment-based nonimmigrant and immigrant petitions, including H-1B, L-1, TN, PERM labor certifications, employment-based immigrant petitions, and adjustment of status applications.
  • Manage complex case matters while maintaining exceptional quality, accuracy, and client service standards.
  • Respond to client inquiries and assist with reporting, case tracking, and data requests.
  • Support program management activities for client accounts and contribute to special projects designed to improve service delivery and operational efficiency.
  • Train and mentor junior team members on U.S. business immigration processes, procedures, and legal requirements.
  • Stay informed of changes to U.S. immigration laws, regulations, policies, and industry trends and apply that knowledge to client matters.
  • Leverage technology, automation, and process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and the client experience.
  • Participate in self-development initiatives and actively incorporate feedback to strengthen technical, professional, and leadership capabilities.
  • Ensure high standards of quality in both your own work product and the work of others through review and quality assurance activities.
  • Use analytical thinking and data-driven insights to support sound decision-making and effective client service.
  • Participate in client meetings and contribute meaningful insights, recommendations, and solutions.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, attorneys, analysts, and internal stakeholders while building strong professional relationships.
  • Uphold the firm's code of ethics, professional standards, and commitment to exceptional client service.

Career Level

This position may be filled at either the Associate or Senior Associate level based on experience, qualifications, and business needs.

Associate

Typically 3-5 years of U.S. employment-based immigration experience, including preparation of complex immigration filings, direct client communication, and independent case management responsibilities.

Senior Associate

Typically 5+ years of U.S. employment-based immigration experience, including mentoring team members, leading complex case preparation, supporting client program management initiatives, and serving as a resource on immigration processes and best practices.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in U.S. employment-based immigration.
  • Experience preparing employment-based nonimmigrant and immigrant petitions, including PERM labor certifications, employment-based immigrant petitions, and adjustment of status applications.
  • Paralegal certificate, bachelor's degree, law clerk diploma, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced professional environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong client-service orientation.
  • Experience mentoring, training, reviewing work, or providing technical guidance to team members is preferred.
  • Demonstrated interest in leveraging technology, automation, and innovation to improve client service delivery and operational efficiency.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions using data and available information.
  • Collaborative mindset and commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

  • Employment Type: Regular / Full Time
  • Work Arrangement: Hybrid role. Candidates must be able to work in a hybrid environment based on office location and business needs.

Compensation is determined based on geographic location, relevant experience, education, professional qualifications, and overall capabilities.
