Job Overview

The US Center for Outcomes Research, Real World Evidence & Epidemiology (US CORE) team within US Medical Affairs develops evidence generation strategies informed by US payer needs, executes research, and creates payer-facing materials to support understanding of product value propositions. The intern will contribute to these activities across the oncology portfolio by assessing payer evidence needs, supporting research projects, and translating findings into clear materials for healthcare decision-makers.

What you’ll do

  • Review published literature and US payer insights to identify evidence needs related to clinical outcomes, economic burden, and patient experience.
  • Contribute to evidence generation strategy for head and neck cancer by mapping payer questions to existing and planned research and identifying gaps in the evidence supporting product value propositions.
  • Support execution of health economics and outcomes research projects, including reviewing research protocols, study deliverables, and findings with US CORE colleagues.
  • Help develop and update payer-facing materials, such as dossiers, value communications, and disease burden resources.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited degree program in public health, health economics, epidemiology, biology or other science programs, health services research, outcomes research, biostatistics, pharmacy, or a related discipline.
  • Completed coursework in research methods, epidemiology, statistics, health economics, or a related area.
  • Ability to organize and summarize quantitative and qualitative information in evidence tables, written summaries, and presentations.
  • Ability to document sources accurately and distinguish research findings from interpretation.
  • Ability to manage a defined project, incorporate feedback, and meet agreed deadlines within a 10-week internship.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Academic or research experience in health economics and outcomes research, real-world evidence, epidemiology, or health services research.
  • Familiarity with oncology, cancer treatment pathways, or the evidence needs of US payers and healthcare systems.
  • Experience with claims or electronic health record data, patient-reported outcomes, patient preference research, or economic models.
  • Experience developing literature reviews, research protocols, scientific abstracts, posters, or manuscripts.

General Intern Information – Date/Location/Schedule

Internships will take place over 10 weeks from June – August 2027. This role will be based in Princeton, NJ and operate on a required hybrid schedule – 3 days in the office and 2 days remote per week. This role is not eligible for work visa sponsorship at the time of the application or in the future.
