SRT Marine Systems plc (SRT) are a market leader in its domain of international marine surveillance technology and systems. We are respected, established and an ambitious multi-national company headquartered in the UK with a global customer base.

The company has a global impact in the marine domain by leading the next generation of Maritime Domain Awareness 'MDA' technologies, products and systems that significantly enhance, security, safety and environment protection and sustainability. Our customers are worldwide and range from the largest national coast guards to individual vessel owners.

SRT is an exciting company where high-quality results are rewarded. We are ambitious and are constantly seeking to innovate to deliver better products and services to our customers. We strive to make SRT a rewarding and challenging place to work where talented hard-working individuals have the opportunity to make a real impact across the marine world.

This is an exciting opportunity for a USV Product Manager to build our uncrewed systems offering across USV (Uncrewed Sea Vessels) and; over time, broader UxV domains. The position of USV Product Manager will define how uncrewed platforms, sensors, communications and mission software become part of our maritime domain awareness offering, turning a complex supplier ecosystem into credible, deliverable customer solutions.

Sitting within the product organisation, the role will own USV strategy, supplier relationships, solution definition and delivery outcomes. The successful candidate will combine market knowledge, customer-facing credibility, commercial judgement and enough systems-level understanding to shape turnkey USV solutions without needing to be the hands-on engineering lead.

You as our USV Product Manager will be based from our Bristol office with flexibility for Hybrid working. This role will require Global travel in support of the business, and the delivery of our projects.

Key Responsibilities - USV Product Manager (not exhaustive):

  • Own the USV product and capability strategy for maritime surveillance, security and domain awareness
  • Map the supplier landscape across platforms, payloads, autonomy, communications, mission control, data services and operational support models
  • Help define partners and integrate recommendations that balance capability, cost, delivery risk and strategic value
  • Translate customer missions into system concepts, operational use cases, requirements, acceptance criteria and verification approaches
  • Develop reference solution architectures for integrating USV assets into our maritime domain awareness software platform
  • Shape integrations for sensor data, telemetry, video, AIS, radar, EO/IR, mission tasking, platform health, alerts and track fusion
  • Lead customer workshops, demonstrations, discovery sessions and bid support for USV enabled solutions
  • Own the USV roadmap, including supplier evaluations, pilots, field trials, platform integrations and repeatable delivery packages
  • Work across product, engineering, delivery, commercial, legal and operations to turn strategy into deployed customer capability
  • Build internal knowledge of UxV operating models, regulatory considerations, through-life costs, safety cases and support requirements

Experience - USV Product Manager (not exhaustive):

  • ESSENTIAL - Significant experience in uncrewed systems, autonomous systems, defence technology, maritime systems, aerospace, robotics or a closely related field
  • ESSENTIAL - Strong understanding of the USV supplier market, vehicle architectures, payload options, autonomy stacks, communications links and mission software
  • Product or capability leadership experience, including strategy, roadmap ownership, requirements definition and business case development
  • Ability to turn ambiguous customer needs into structured product decisions, system-level requirements and practical delivery plans
  • Good understanding of maritime surveillance missions such as border security, EEZ monitoring, illegal fishing, port security, ISR and critical infrastructure protection
  • Familiarity with sensor payloads such as radar, EO/IR, AIS, sonar, RF detection, acoustic systems or other maritime intelligence sources
  • Enough systems-engineering literacy to assess integration feasibility, interface dependencies and supplier claims credibly
  • Commercially aware, with experience evaluating suppliers and assessing cost models
  • Confident customer-facing communicator who can work with senior stakeholders, operational users, technical teams and external partners

Benefits

  • Private healthcare package
  • Highly Competitive Salary
  • 25 days annual leave rising to 28 days with service
  • Real individual development opportunities
