The Branch Operations Manager oversees plumbing field operations, technician performance, service quality, and operational strategy. The role coordinates with dispatch and executive management to support safe, code-compliant work and customer service.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Field Operations and Service Quality
· Oversee, coach, and maintain a high-performing team of plumbing technicians and laborers.
· Support dispatch in assigning technicians to jobs based on location and skill set.
· Visit job sites regularly for quality control, coaching, and training.
· Provide technical support to field technicians and laborers; review work orders for code compliance and quality.
· Serve as a primary connection between office staff and field personnel and address technical questions.
Operations and Growth
· Work with executive management on operational strategy, performance, and goals.
· Visit clients and customers to maintain relationships and identify new opportunities.
· Develop new relationships and advise executive management about growth opportunities.
· Identify and improve inefficient processes and procedures and address operational risks.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
· Experience leading plumbing field operations and supporting technicians on residential, multifamily, or commercial work.
· Working knowledge of plumbing installation, service, applicable codes, and quality standards.
· Ability to travel among job sites and maintain a driving record acceptable under company policy.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Experience with dispatch coordination, field training, customer relationships, and process improvement.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly oversees plumbing technicians and laborers and supports their coaching, performance, and work quality.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
· Strong technical troubleshooting and judgment in plumbing service and installation.
· Ability to plan field work, coordinate with dispatch, and communicate with office staff, technicians, customers, and leadership.
· Ability to identify quality, safety, and process concerns and follow through on corrective action.
TRAVEL, PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT
· Travel: Regular travel to job sites and customer locations.
· Physical demands: Field visits may require walking, standing, climbing, bending, and observing work in progress.
· Work environment: Office, customer properties, and active residential or commercial job sites; exposure to outdoor heat, tools, equipment, and construction conditions.
