UX Design & Research Consultant

General Description

We are looking for an experienced UX Design & Research Consultant to support a leading organization in the Banking / Financial Services sector on a short-term remote engagement.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in UX Design, User Research, Usability Testing, User-Centered Design, and Stakeholder Engagement.

The role requires a confident, proactive professional with excellent communication skills, capable of working independently, collaborating with stakeholders, and handling direct feedback in a fast-paced environment. Banking or FinTech experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver UX Design and User Research activities to improve digital user experiences.
• Conduct user interviews, usability testing, and user research to understand user needs and behaviors.
• Translate research findings into actionable UX recommendations and design improvements.
• Develop user journeys, wireframes, user flows, and prototypes as required.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to align UX solutions with business objectives.
• Present research insights, communicate design decisions, and confidently manage stakeholder feedback.

Required Experience

• Strong hands-on experience in UX Design and User Experience Research.
• Experience conducting User Interviews, Usability Testing, and Qualitative Research.
• Good understanding of User-Centered Design, User Journey Mapping, and UX best practices.
• Ability to translate user research findings into practical UX improvements.
• Familiarity with Figma or similar UX design and prototyping tools.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills.
• Confident, assertive, adaptable personality with the ability to handle direct feedback.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, short-term consulting engagement.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in Banking, FinTech, or Financial Services.
• Experience working on digital banking platforms, mobile applications, or enterprise digital products.
• Previous experience in remote consulting or contract-based UX projects.
