(This is for a RevPilots' client) Senior Technical Architect Our Client | Remote – United States Position Details Department: Delivery Employment Type: Full-Time Experience Level: Senior Location: Remote – United States Compensation Salary: $150,000 – $200,000, DOE Health, Dental, Vision Position Overview Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Architect to join their Delivery team. In this role, you will work directly with customers to design, implement, and optimize modern data platforms using Databricks and cloud technologies. You will serve as a technical leader on customer engagements, guiding organizations through complex data engineering, analytics, and AI initiatives. This includes helping customers migrate legacy data systems, architect scalable data platforms, and productionize advanced data and AI use cases. The Senior Technical Architect works closely with customer stakeholders, our client's delivery teams, and partner ecosystems to ensure successful implementation and long-term adoption of modern data architectures. This role requires both deep technical expertise and strong customer-facing consulting skills. Key Responsibilities Partner with customer stakeholders to understand business objectives and translate them into scalable data platform architectures using Databricks. Design and implement modern data architectures, including ingestion pipelines, transformation workflows, and analytics-ready data models. Lead the delivery of complex customer engagements including data platform migrations, lakehouse implementations, and advanced analytics solutions. Build and productionize end-to-end data pipelines using Databricks, Spark, Python, SQL, and cloud-native services. Provide architectural guidance and best practices for building scalable, secure, and cost-efficient data platforms. Collaborate with our client's project managers, engineers, and customer teams to ensure successful delivery of technical solutions. Assist in scoping professional services engagements by providing technical input on architecture, effort estimation, and solution design. Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide advanced support during implementation phases. Develop documentation, architectural diagrams, and technical guides to support customer adoption and internal knowledge sharing. Stay up to date with Databricks platform capabilities, cloud technologies, and data engineering best practices. Requirements 6+ years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, or analytics platform development. Strong experience designing and implementing modern data platforms and distributed data processing systems. Proficiency in Python and SQL; experience with Scala and Apache Spark is strongly preferred. Experience working with Databricks or similar modern data platforms. Strong understanding of distributed computing concepts and big data processing frameworks. Experience working with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for data platform deployments. Experience building and deploying scalable data pipelines and analytics workflows. Strong communication and consulting skills with experience working directly with customers. Ability to lead technical discussions, present architectural recommendations, and guide solution implementation. Preferred Qualifications Experience with MLOps or machine learning platform deployment. Experience migrating legacy data warehouses or ETL systems to modern cloud data platforms. Databricks certifications (Databricks Certified Data Engineer, Databricks Certified Professional, or similar). Experience working in professional services, consulting, or customer-facing engineering roles.
