The Role at a Glance

The Valuation Analyst role within the Fund Administration and Operations Team (FAO) will provide oversight and direction for the Lincoln Funds regarding security valuation, vendor oversight and due diligence, and also participate in completing required SEC filings. This requires a high level of coordination with many internal and external parties at various levels. This position will also provide oversight and direction for the preparation of Board Materials as they relate to LVIP Funds security valuation policies and procedures.

What you'll be doing

•Assure fund administration compliance with the Investment Company Act of 1940 as well as the Securities Acts of 1933 and 1934 and applicable Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
•Maintain a working knowledge of strategic investment market activities and industry pronouncements and their impact on the Funds as well as Lincoln.
•Stay current with technological innovations, updating administration capabilities and capacity in a cost effective and efficient fashion.
•Participate in departmental or enterprise-wide complex projects assigned by providing stakeholders with actionable and valuable valuation information to enable decision-making that results in successful outcomes.
•Enhance organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives within assigned areas of responsibility.
•Work closely with internal and external resources to analyze and report on the Lincoln Fund security valuation process.
•Perform a variety of due diligence tasks and oversight functions to monitor security prices and identify potential risks of inaccurate valuation or identify trends by security asset class.
•Oversee fund accountant to ensure LVIP Pricing Policy and Procedures are implemented and working as intended.
•Participate in due diligence of Pricing Vendors to ensure vendor methodologies are appropriate.
•Assist with the preparation and review of Fund Administration Board Materials including the quarterly valuation analysis of LVIP Fund securities.
•Review, analyze and monitor financial information for Funds to ensure integrity of financial systems and accuracy of data.
•Work closely with management to recommend and implement process improvements, enhance controls and efficiencies.

What we’re looking for

•3-5+ years of experience in Financial Reporting and/or Fund Accounting that aligns with the regulatory requirements of open-end funds, or equivalent experience in accounting, financial reporting, or analysis within a mutual fund, insurance, or public accounting environment, required.
•Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience (4 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree), required.
•CPA license preferred.
•Experience with Microsoft Copilot or Claude encouraged.
•Demonstrates ability to identify, develop, and implement process improvements.
•Demonstrates strong relationship management skills with internal clients (e.g., senior management, peers, and colleagues); proven ability to develop creative and collaborative approaches.
•Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative style.
•Demonstrates strong project management and leadership skills, including the ability to coordinate and balance multiple projects in a time-sensitive environment, under pressure, and while meeting deadlines.
•Finds common ground and gains collaboration among senior management, colleagues, and peers; can influence outcomes without directing or commanding.
•Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

The pay range for this position is $75,000 - $120,000 with anticipated pay for new hires between the minimum and midpoint of the range and could vary above and below the listed range as permitted by applicable law. Pay is based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual. Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln’s standard benefits package.
