VAT Senior Manager

We're seeking a talented individual at Senior Manager level to join our VAT Tax Team in the North, which is responsible for providing VAT compliance and advisory services for a wide range of business clients. You will be managing your own portfolio of clients, working with Directors or alone on complicated consultancy and advisory projects. A significant part of the role will be managing client relationships and identifying opportunities on existing clients as well as potentially developing a specialist field of technical and/or sector knowledge and expertise. As a Senior Manager your responsibilities will include; Overseeing complex VAT projects and engagements, ensuring high-quality deliverables and client satisfaction Developing and implementing VAT strategies to minimize tax liabilities and maximize efficiency Providing expert advice on VAT matters to clients, including multinational corporations and high-net-worth individuals Leading and managing a team of VAT professionals, providing mentorship and guidance to develop their skills and expertise Staying up-to-date with changes in VAT legislation and communicate implications to clients Collaborating with other tax and advisory teams to provide comprehensive solutions to clients Contributing to business development initiatives, including proposal writing and client presentations Managing client relationships and act as a trusted advisor on VAT-related matters Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of VAT operations Skills and Experience Proven experience in VAT consulting or corporate tax roles Proven track record of successfully leading and managing teams Advanced knowledge of VAT regulations and compliance In-depth understanding of VAT legislation and its practical application Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Demonstrated project management skills Experience in building and maintaining client relationships Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Professional tax qualification (e.g., CTA, ACA, ACCA) As a colleague here at S&W you will have access to benefits that include Competitive salary Private medical insurance Life assurance Pension contribution Hybrid working model (role dependent) Generous holiday package Option to purchase additional holiday Shared parental leave Fully funded training towards professional qualifications Cycle to work scheme Season ticket loan Eye care support We are proud to value the differences that a diverse workforce brings, representative of society and our clients.
