What will your typical day look like?

The Deloitte Global Cybersecurity function supports the firm’s objectives of enhancing data protection, standardizing and securing critical infrastructure, and increasing cyber visibility. We are seeking an Assessment Analyst to support the Vendor Cyber Risk Assessment (VCRA) program. The Assessment Analyst will execute vendor cyber risk assessments, evaluate security controls and evidence, coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders, and maintain accurate assessment records. The role helps provide member firms and business partners with timely visibility into vendor risks, control gaps, and assessment status.

As part of the Global Vendor Cyber Risk Assessment team, the Assessment Analyst will:

  • Conduct vendor cyber risk assessments by gathering and validating evidence, evaluating security controls, analyzing security questionnaires, and performing technical reviews in line with established assessment methodology and internal requirements.
  • Perform continuous monitoring of vendor security posture and relevant risk indicators to identify triggers that may require an assessment review, reassessment, or record update.
  • Coordinate with business stakeholders, security leads, and vendors throughout the assessment lifecycle to obtain timely responses, resolve open questions, and maintain assessment progress.
  • Facilitate workflow, documentation, and record keeping within the Vendor Risk Assessment platform (ServiceNow), ensuring assessment records are complete, accurate, current, and audit-ready.
  • Help develop, maintain, and document workflow processes to confirm that data and system controls meet internal baselines and improve the efficiency and consistency of current assessment practices.
  • Provide clear guidance to the business, vendors, and other stakeholders so that VCRA requirements, evidence expectations, risks, and next steps are fully understood.
  • Coordinate with the Remediation Analyst to communicate identified control gaps, provide assessment context as needed, remain informed of remediation updates, and ensure assessment reports and records are refreshed accordingly.
  • Escalate assessment delays resulting from vendor unresponsiveness, incomplete evidence, or poor performance to the appropriate stakeholders and Deloitte Firm security leads in accordance with established escalation protocols.
  • Prepare assessment summaries, risk analysis reports, and status updates for stakeholders.
  • Support quality assurance, audit readiness, and continuous improvement activities by applying assessment standards consistently and identifying opportunities to strengthen processes, templates, and reporting.
  • Stay informed about developments in vendor risk management, cybersecurity threats, control frameworks, and relevant legal or regulatory requirements.
