Job Summary

The Vendor Manager is responsible for managing Third Party Business Arrangements throughout all stages of the Third Party Management Lifecycle (TPML). This role involves monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on vendor performance, ensuring compliance with relevant frameworks and policies, and mitigating risks associated with vendor relationships. The position requires a deep understanding of vendor management principles and the ability to lead complex projects while collaborating with various stakeholders. The successful candidate will be supporting a high-profile portfolio within TD Securities, and will be expected to speak to 3–4 stakeholders on a regular basis about opening new vendor engagements. This role will rely on the ability to manage relationships and cultivate strong connections with the appropriate line of business, and walk them through relevant TD processes. The successful candidate will be paired with a direct sourcing lead to help with engagements. The role focuses on Day 2 vendor management — specifically ongoing third-party management, risk, governance, and controls — and does not involve sourcing or initial vendor onboarding activities. The team is a small, collaborative team with onboarding support and a designated buddy, supporting multiple stakeholder groups and approximately 3–5 groups or portfolios. Scope of work may include but is not limited to the responsibilities outlined below.

  • Monitor outstanding requests, follow up proactively, and manage competing priorities.
  • Escalate issues and maintain visibility across the vendor management lifecycle.
  • Conduct internal and external research projects and support the development of presentations to management.
