Summary

Under general direction and guidance from the Director, Facility Management Office, this role will be responsible for vendor management and work order life-cycle management. The Manager of Vendor Performance and WO Delivery e is accountable for leading a team of coordinators, executing projects, data verification, reporting and analysis; and assists in the review, development and implementation of related processes and initiatives.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

People Leadership

  • Demonstrates strong, competent leadership for team members to guide them in reaching their full potential and meeting their objectives, which supports achievement of our corporate goals. Specifically, these responsibilities include but not limited to:
    • Full involvement with recruiting talent
    • Provides mentoring, coaching and guidance to all team members
    • Objectively recommends compensation adjustments
    • Manages all aspects of performance

Facility Management Administration

  • Assist the Director, Facility Management Office in the implementation of strategic objectives and innovations.
  • Manage vendor relationships and performance
  • Be responsible, with guidance for the delivery of projects, from inception to completion, including document management, change of scope, scheduling, cost control, quality management, regulatory and environmental compliance, communications, risk management, procurement, approvals, planning & design.
  • Offer value-added solutions by providing cost-beneficial alternatives.
  • Work closely as part of the Facility Management Office team to ensure continuous improvement by recommending, promoting and implementing process/work flow improvements for both BGIS and the customer to ensure the successful delivery of the team’s program and projects.
  • Run report on open work orders and checks status with the appropriate vendors.
  • Act as escalation point to vendor inquiries regarding workorder related issues.
  • Respond to Client inquiries regarding current or past workorders (Status of the work, Issues/warranty, escalations)

Vendor Management

  • Identify opportunities to standardize service delivery scopes of work across BGIS Canada's customer groups and implement new standards, including service level models, within cross client service agreements.
  • Ensure that the financial terms of major supplier agreements are optimized by leveraging the buying power of the BGIS Canada group of companies and parent organizations. Negotiate volume discount and rebate structures within major agreements, wherever possible.
  • Collect and analyze data related to supplier spend by Client and category.
  • Schedule Supplier Business Reviews, collect and prepare data & deck
  • Analyze supplier responses to RFx and provide detail analysis
  • Assisting with business case
  • Develop statistical data to assist the Sourcing team
  • Use databases, electronic spreadsheets, and statistical applications to manipulate, analyze, and present data.
  • Provide information and analysis findings in a format that allows for its use by the Sourcing Team
  • Perform a variety of administrative duties relating to the systematic process of collecting, categorizing and analyzing supplier spend.

Reporting

  • Lead, monitor, continuously improve and report on ECE program to internal and if required, external stakeholders.
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge and Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field of study and 5-10 years of relevant working experience
  • In-depth knowledge of procurement requirements and practices and willingness to keep this knowledge up to date;
  • Full skills in developing and implementing procurement strategies and plans;
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously;
  • Ability to develop and execute contractual agreements with suppliers;
  • Demonstrated organizational, project planning and management skills
  • Technical writing skills
  • Good writing and verbal communication skills
  • Good training and presentation skills
  • Effective public speaking skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to develop, analyze and understand complex processes

  • Strong proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

This is a regular, full-time position with a salary range of $73,600 - $92,000 per annum. The starting salary will be based on the successful candidate’s competencies, including but not limited to experience, education, professional designations and performance related to this role.
