Verification Lead Engineer

As a Verification Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, performance, and reliability of our products. You will lead the end-to-end QA process — from planning, designing, executing, and reporting tests — covering web and mobile applications. This role offers both speed and ownership , collaborating closely with cross-functional and international teams to build and scale our QA foundation in a dynamic startup environment. Responsibilities Lead and execute the full QA process (planning, design, implementation, execution, reporting) Ensure quality across web and mobile applications Conduct performance testing using tools such as JMeter / LoadRunner, including bottleneck analysis Perform security testing using tools such as OWASP ZAP and Burp Suite, and create risk/vulnerability reports Detect defects, propose improvements, and drive pre-/post-release quality assurance Collaborate with PMs and developers, and help lead QA team initiatives Implement test automation and integrate QA into CI/CD environments (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.) Collaborate with overseas teams in a multicultural environment Required Qualifications (MUST) 3+ years of professional QA experience (including mobile app QA) Hands-on experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner) Experience in security testing (e.g., vulnerability assessment, CVE handling) Language: Native-level Japanese & Business-level English (able to read technical documents, write Issues/PRs, and discuss with global members) Proven track record of identifying and solving quality issues autonomously (e.g., major bug detection, quality improvement projects) Experience in leading QA initiatives or working cross-functionally with PMs and developers Preferred Qualifications (WANT) QA experience with AI/ML-related products (e.g., model evaluation, bias testing) Hands-on experience in test automation (e.g., Selenium, Appium) Experience integrating QA in CI/CD environments (Jenkins, GitHub Actions) Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) and related QA/security testing Experience in building/operating automated regression testing and quality dashboards Familiarity with security/privacy compliance (GDPR, ISO27001, etc.) Experience in QA process design for startups / fast iteration in agile environments Track record of working effectively in multicultural teams
