About Doctronic

Doctronic is the #1 AI doctor. Our AI is free, anonymous and HIPAA-compliant, and it has delivered over 30 million consults to date. In December 2025 we became the first and only AI legally authorized to practice medicine, renewing prescriptions autonomously under Utah's AI Learning Lab, and the first AI ever granted medical malpractice insurance. We are live in all 50 states and DC with AI and human physicians available 24/7, and we have raised $65M through our Series B from Abstract, Lightspeed, Union Square Ventures and others.

We are now building the enterprise organization that takes this to health plans, health systems and the wider healthcare ecosystem. This is one of the first senior sales hires on that team.

The Role

You will own the health plan vertical end to end: the pipeline, the relationships, the narrative, and the number. Regional and national commercial payers, Medicare Advantage plans, Medicaid managed care organizations, and third-party administrators.

This is a fulltime role at a company where the product is genuinely new, so you will spend as much time teaching the market what autonomous clinical AI can do as you will running a process. You will report to the Chief Business Officer and work alongside our Chief Medical Officer, who carries the clinical credibility that opens these rooms.

What You'll Do

  • Own pipeline generation and closed contract value for the health plan vertical, with a target of at least four opportunities in contracting or later at any time

  • Build the payer narrative and buyer persona map: total cost of care, access and network adequacy, member engagement, quality measures, and performance in value-based arrangements

  • Run the full cycle, sourcing with business development and marketing, scoping the integration with solutions engineering, and closing with the deal desk

  • Navigate payer procurement and compliance, including security review, diligence questionnaires, corporate practice of medicine considerations, and BAA and DUA negotiation

  • Work with our Chief Medical Officer and research team to turn clinical evidence into payer-ready economic packages

  • Partner with implementation before signature so that what you sell is what we can deliver, on the timeline you committed to

  • Feed vertical requirements into the enterprise product roadmap, and push back on one-off builds that will not repeat

  • Grow accounts after launch alongside customer success, because expansion inside a plan matters more to us than net-new logos

What We're Looking For

  • 10+ years selling into health plans, including multi-year enterprise contracts you personally closed and carried a number against

  • Verifiable relationships with payer economic buyers: chief medical officers, VPs of clinical operations and network, and digital health or innovation leaders

  • Fluency in payer economics and the vocabulary that goes with it: PMPM, risk adjustment, medical loss ratio, capitation, shared savings and value-based contracting

  • A track record of selling clinical credibility rather than features, and the judgment to know which evidence a given buyer actually needs

  • Comfort selling a product that is still moving, in a category that regulators are still defining

  • Willingness to travel heavily. Our enterprise buyers do not buy over video alone

  • Based in New York City or willing to relocate. This is a hybrid role

Nice to Have

  • Sold AI, digital health or virtual care into payers specifically

  • Worked inside a health plan, on the buying side of a deal like this one

  • Familiarity with CMS models and care management programs such as ACCESS, APCM, CCM and TCM

  • Experience with co-branded or digital front door deployments inside a plan's member experience

  • Early-stage experience, ideally as one of the first sellers in a vertical

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary range: $225-$275k + commission of up to 50% of base

  • Meaningful equity

  • Health reimbursement allowance, support for well-being, and flexible time off
