About the Role

From our headquarters in the UK and our production base in China, we design, build and deliver advanced automated wind-assisted propulsion systems that help shipowners and operators reduce fuel consumption and emissions — propelling the shipping industry towards a cleaner, more sustainable future.
Our ambition is bold but clear: to save 1,000 tonnes of CO₂ every day by installing 500 Rotor Sails by 2030. Imagine fleets of vessels crossing the world’s oceans using our Rotor Sail systems, harnessing renewable wind power to operate more efficiently and responsibly. This is an exciting opportunity for an eager and enthusiastic Vessel Performance Engineer with 3+ years’ experience in technical sales and knowledge of the marine industry.
This is a hybrid role with Tuesdays & Wednesday's in the office.
Purpose of the Job
To independently manage customer relationships and support sales projects through the cycle from technical feasibility studies through to commercial negotiations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed analysis of vessel performance and fuel/emissions savings to develop a business case for client vessels fitted with rotor sails.
- Work with the engineering team to develop bespoke technical and commercial proposals for shipowners and project stakeholders based on their specific vessel criteria.
- Join client meetings on how rotor sails impact regulatory compliance with IMO and regional frameworks (e.g. CII, EEDI, FuelEU and EU ETS, etc).
- Act as point of contact for technical queries from owners’ side, and shipyard design and procurement departments from the early project stage.
- Conduct handovers of new projects for implementation to project team
- Management of the company CRM system
- Participate in client meetings when needed, contributing to marketing initiatives and in business development activities in and out of local country, as require
Candidate Profile
- Degree or equivalent qualification in a marine engineering/ technology or Naval Architecture
- Shipping or marine background essential
- Experience with PowerBI
- Proficiency in Matlab and CAD
- Some exposure to Python programming
- Confident with ability to talk about customer’s technical needs
- Results driven
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to act as a skilled influencer
- Commercial awareness
