Your Team

The Portfolio Services team provides critical operational support to portfolio management teams and clients across alternative investment products. The team is responsible for overseeing fund accounting, financial reporting, operational controls, and third-party service provider performance to ensure the delivery of accurate, timely, and high-quality services. Working closely with fund administrators, auditors, fund directors, portfolio managers, and internal business partners, the team plays an important role in supporting product launches, maintaining regulatory compliance, and driving operational excellence across complex investment strategies.


Your Role and Impact

As a Vice President within Alternatives Fund Accounting, you will provide oversight of fund administration, accounting, financial reporting, and operational processes for a diverse range of alternative investment products. You will serve as a key partner to internal stakeholders and external service providers, helping to ensure the integrity of fund reporting, the effectiveness of control environments, and the successful delivery of regulatory and client reporting obligations. Your Responsibilities

The scope of this role also includes the following responsibilities.

  • Oversee fund administration activities and review Net Asset Value (NAV) accounting packages prepared by external administrators to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely fund valuation.
  • Ensure timely delivery of fund accounting, investor reporting, regulatory reporting, and financial statements while maintaining compliance with applicable accounting standards.
  • Maintain a strong control environment through oversight of third-party administrators and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to resolve operational issues.
  • Lead operational support for complex investment products, including valuation oversight, data management, and asset and cash reconciliation activities.
  • Oversee regulatory compliance and manage audit coordination activities, including resolution of complex accounting matters and annual financial statement reviews.
  • Manage customized reporting requests and special projects for investors, clients, and business partners.

Your Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to oversee fund accounting, fund administration, or private fund operations for alternative investment vehicles.
  • Experience working with a public accounting firm and strong understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles.
  • Experience with open-end alternative investment products, including hedge funds, and multiple asset classes such as public equities, fixed income, derivatives, private equity, and private debt.
  • Demonstrated experience managing relationships with third-party fund administrators, auditors, and other service providers across alternative investment structures.
  • CPA designation or comparable professional accounting qualification is preferred.

For Wilmington, DE Only the salary range for this position is USD$117,500.00 - USD$173,500.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including healthcare, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
