Hopeful for those we support, rebellious in our approach, and collaborative by breaking down barriers, AccessHope is seeking a Vice President, Architecture & AI to help us uniquely deploy the latest cancer knowledge to the places it’s needed most. As an ideal candidate, you’ll be a hands-on technical leader to architect the future of our technology platform, combining modern cloud engineering, enterprise architecture, and AI into a cohesive strategy. You will create reusable platforms, establish engineering best practices, and partner across product, data science, and engineering to deliver AI-powered capabilities at enterprise scale.
Key responsibilities
- Enterprise Architecture
- Own enterprise technology architecture across all platforms
- Develop and maintain multi-year technology roadmap
- Define architectural principles, standards, and governance
- Review all major technology initiatives
- Ensure scalability, maintainability, security, and resilience
- Lead architecture review board
- Own enterprise technology architecture across all platforms
- AI Platform & Intelligence
- Own enterprise AI architecture including:
- Generative AI platform
- Agentic AI framework
- LLM infrastructure
- Retrieval architecture (RAG)
- Knowledge platform
- Model evaluation framework
- AI governance
- Prompt engineering standards
- AI observability
- Human-in-the-loop workflows
- Own enterprise AI architecture including:
- Cloud & Platform Engineering
- Provide technical leadership across:
- AWS Architecture
- Kubernetes
- Containers
- Serverless
- Networking
- API Strategy
- Event-driven architecture
- Microservices
- Identity & Access Management
- Infrastructure as Code

Required qualifications
- 12+ years in software engineering and enterprise architecture
- 5+ years leading architecture for enterprise SaaS platforms
- Experience building cloud-native applications at scale
- Demonstrated success leading enterprise modernization initiatives
- Deep expertise in AI platform architecture and production AI systems
- Experience in highly regulated industries
Preferred qualifications
- 15+ years in software engineering and enterprise architecture
- 8+ years leading architecture for enterprise SaaS platforms
- Experience building cloud-native applications at scale
- Demonstrated success leading enterprise modernization initiatives
- Deep expertise in AI platform architecture and production AI systems
- Experience in highly regulated healthcare industry

- Virtual within the continental U.S.; support or collaboration across multiple time zones; may include travel up to 25%
