Working in partnership with each arena’s primary booking contact, this role supports business development efforts by cultivating relationships with promoters, agents, event producers, sports organizations, and other industry stakeholders to maximize booking opportunities and venue utilization. Rather than serving as the primary booking representative for each venue, the Vice President provides industry expertise, market intelligence, and strategic guidance to help arena teams generate interest in available dates, strengthen promoter relationships, and increase event activity across the portfolio. The ideal candidate is a highly connected industry professional with extensive experience in arena booking, live entertainment, sports, and touring. This role pays an annual salary of $240,000 - $245,000 and is bonus eligible. Responsibilities Serve as a strategic booking resource and advisor to each arena’s primary booking contact within the assigned region. Support arena teams in developing and executing booking strategies to increase event activity and optimize venue calendars. Proactively cultivate and maintain relationships with concert promoters, sports organizations, family entertainment producers, agents, managers, and event organizers to generate interest in available booking opportunities. Collaborate with promoter partners and arena booking representatives to identify opportunities, develop event pipelines, and secure new business. Provide market intelligence, touring insights, competitive analysis, and routing recommendations to assist arena teams in attracting events. Partner with arena leadership and booking personnel to align regional booking strategies with each venue’s business objectives and market position. Assist in negotiations and facilitate discussions between promoters and arena representatives as needed to support successful event bookings. Monitor industry trends, artist touring schedules, competitive venues, and emerging entertainment opportunities to identify potential events for assigned properties. Maintain strong relationships with national and regional promoters while serving as an extension of each arena’s booking efforts. Track regional booking activity, pipeline development, and performance metrics, providing regular updates and strategic recommendations to executive leadership. Represent the organization at industry conferences, showcases, conventions, and networking events to strengthen promoter relationships and promote the organization’s arena portfolio. Foster collaboration and knowledge sharing among arena booking teams to leverage best practices and maximize booking opportunities across the portfolio. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality Management, Sports Management, Marketing, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred. 10+ years of progressive experience in stadium, arena, or major venue booking, live entertainment, sports, or event management, including leadership responsibility across multiple venues or markets. Demonstrated executive-level relationships with promoters, booking agencies, artist management, sports organizations, event producers, and entertainment partners. Extensive knowledge of event booking, contract negotiations, event settlements, financial proformas, budgeting, event licensing agreements, and venue operations. Proven success developing booking strategies that increase venue utilization, revenue, and long-term business growth. Demonstrated ability to lead high-performing teams and influence cross-functional stakeholders across multiple venues and organizational levels. Strong strategic planning, business development, financial analysis, and negotiation skills. Exceptional communication, presentation, relationship management, and executive leadership abilities. Ability to make sound business decisions in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while managing multiple priorities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, venue management software, and booking systems. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require. Ability to consistently uphold the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, ethics, and confidentiality.
