The Role

We’re looking for a Vice President – Compliance to provide senior-level leadership across compliance, regulatory governance, risk oversight, and internal controls. The role involves developing compliance frameworks, monitoring regulatory developments, assessing risks, coordinating internal reviews, and providing practical guidance to leadership and cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership across compliance, regulatory governance, and risk oversight.
• Develop, review, and maintain compliance policies, procedures, standards, and control frameworks.
• Monitor relevant regulatory and legal developments and assess their potential business impact.
• Identify, assess, and monitor compliance and operational risks.
• Lead compliance monitoring activities, internal reviews, and remediation initiatives.
• Review internal controls and recommend improvements where required.
• Coordinate with legal, finance, HR, operations, and other relevant functions on compliance matters.
• Establish appropriate compliance monitoring, reporting, and documentation processes.
• Support compliance-related projects, assessments, audits, and governance initiatives.
• Provide practical guidance to management and relevant stakeholders on compliance requirements and risk matters.
• Review compliance issues, incidents, investigations, and corrective actions as required.
• Maintain accurate compliance records, risk documentation, policies, and supporting evidence.
• Prepare regular compliance, risk, governance, and management reports.
• Promote awareness of compliance responsibilities and sound governance practices across the organization.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen compliance processes, controls, and risk-management frameworks.
• Provide senior management with recommendations regarding regulatory, compliance, and operational risks.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience in compliance, regulatory affairs, governance, risk management, internal controls, or a related field preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred.
• Strong understanding of compliance frameworks, regulatory requirements, risk management, and internal controls.
• Ability to interpret regulatory developments and translate requirements into practical business processes.
• Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience working with senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage confidential information and sensitive compliance matters appropriately.
• Comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment.
• Previous remote or project-based compliance leadership experience is an advantage.
