Vice President – Compliance

Role Description The Vice President – Compliance is a part-time remote role responsible for overseeing compliance activities within the Chapter’s operations and initiatives. The role involves monitoring adherence to regulatory requirements and professional standards, reviewing Chapter policies and procedures, and recommending improvements to strengthen governance. The Vice President – Compliance will work closely with the executive committee to assess compliance risks, support audit and review processes, and ensure transparency in Chapter programs and communications. Day-to-day tasks include analyzing compliance-related information, preparing concise reports for leadership, and providing guidance on best practices in regulatory and professional compliance relevant to finance and accounting. The role also includes collaborating with members and stakeholders to foster a culture of integrity and ethical conduct.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in Compliance Management and Regulatory Compliance relevant to professional bodies and financial services.
• Solid Analytical Skills for assessing compliance risks, interpreting regulations, and evaluating internal processes.
• Knowledge of Finance and exposure to Financial Services, particularly within accounting and professional membership organizations.
• Professional qualification as a Chartered Accountant or equivalent; membership in ICAI or a recognized accounting body is highly desirable.
• Experience in compliance, risk management, internal audit, or governance roles, preferably within finance or non-profit associations.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage part-time responsibilities effectively, and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; ability to prepare clear reports and guidelines.
• High ethical standards, attention to detail, and commitment to promoting good governance and professional integrity.
