About Fetch

At Fetch, we’re dedicated to helping pets live their healthiest and happiest lives. Our comprehensive insurance coverage is designed with modern pet parents in mind, and we’re proud to support the veterinary, shelter, and breeder communities. We believe in ensuring pets receive the best care possible and are committed to making that vision a reality every day.

Fetch is a high-growth Warburg Pincus portfolio company with an expanding team of over 350 pet-loving employees working together to shape the future of pet health and wellness.

About the Industry

The pet insurance industry is more important than ever, offering peace of mind and financial protection for pet owners. The sector is expanding quickly, fueled by growing awareness of the need for accessible, high-quality veterinary care. With advances in veterinary medicine, pets now have access to the most effective treatments available, making pet insurance an essential component of modern pet care.

About the Role

As our Vice President, Employee Benefits & Strategic Partnerships, you’ll set the vision and lead the strategy for Fetch’s growth across the employer, broker, voluntary benefits, animal shelter, and strategic partnership channels.

In this role, you will build and lead a high-performing business development and account management team, own channel revenue and premium growth targets, and establish Fetch as the leading pet insurance provider in the employee benefits market. You’ll also champion our shelter channel and our direct-to-corporate strategy, deepening current shelter partnerships, turning shelter corporate donors into employer clients, and building a scalable direct-to-corporate engine to generate business and leads.

You will partner with the executive team to shape go-to-market strategy, product positioning, and long-term channel investments. Externally, you’ll be the senior face of Fetch to national brokerages, consultants, carriers, shelter leadership, and enterprise employers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and own the overall strategy, revenue targets, and multi-year growth plan for the employee benefits, shelter, direct-to-corporate, and strategic partnerships channels
  • Set the strategic direction for our animal shelter channel, strengthening current shelter partnerships and expanding employee benefit offerings to shelter staff
  • Build and scale a corporate donor lead generation strategy, working with shelter partners to turn their corporate donors into new employer clients
  • Define and scale a direct-to-corporate sales strategy, engaging employers directly to generate new business and leads alongside the broker and shelter channels
  • Build executive-level relationships with HR, benefits, and C-suite leaders at target enterprise employers
  • Set channel rules and coverage models so that direct, broker, and shelter-sourced opportunities work together without conflict
  • Build executive-level relationships with shelter leadership and major corporate donors to position Fetch as their preferred pet insurance partner
  • Lead, hire, coach, and develop a team of business development and account management professionals
  • Own channel performance metrics, including premium growth, new partner acquisition, direct-to-corporate and donor-lead conversion, participation rates, retention, and profitability
  • Build and maintain executive-level relationships with national and regional brokerages, benefits consultants, carriers, enrollment platforms, and enterprise employers
  • Negotiate and close strategic, high-value partnership agreements
  • Partner with Product, Marketing, Underwriting, and Operations to shape employer-ready products, pricing, and enrollment experiences
  • Collaborate with Marketing/Creative on channel positioning, shelter and donor outreach programs, direct-to-corporate campaigns, broker enablement, and sales collateral
  • Establish scalable processes for pipeline management, forecasting, partner onboarding, and account retention
  • Provide regular forecasting, performance reporting, and strategic recommendations to executive leadership
  • Oversee the RFI/RFP process and ensure high-quality, competitive responses
  • Monitor industry trends, the competitive landscape, and regulatory developments in voluntary benefits and pet insurance
  • Represent Fetch as a thought leader at national conferences, EB conventions, animal welfare events, industry panels, and executive meetings
  • Travel as needed to meet with key partners, shelters, corporate donors, and enterprise employers, attend conferences, and lead strategic pitches

Your Skills & Experience

  • 12+ years of voluntary benefits, employee benefits, or ancillary insurance sales and business development experience, including 5+ years leading sales or business development teams; pet insurance experience is a strong plus
  • Active Property & Casualty (P&C) license required
  • Established executive-level relationships with leading national benefit brokerages, consultants, and worksite carriers
  • Experience building and leading a direct-to-employer sales motion alongside broker distribution
  • Experience building nonprofit, animal welfare, or donor-based partnership channels is a plus
  • Deep expertise in the employee benefits landscape, VB enrollment, HR benefits decision cycles, and broker distribution dynamics
  • Proven track record of building and scaling a voluntary benefits channel and consistently exceeding revenue targets
  • Experience negotiating and closing large, complex partnership agreements with national or enterprise organizations
  • Strong financial acumen, with experience owning channel P&L, forecasting, and budgets
  • Data-driven leader who uses insights to guide strategy, resource allocation, and team performance
  • Proven ability to lead and engage distributed, fully remote teams
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and executive presence
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, including presenting to senior leadership and external executives
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience); MBA a plus
  • Willingness to travel up to 25 - 50%
