Vice President, Billings & Collections

Azon is working with a leading global healthcare and life sciences services organisation that is seeking a VP, Billings & Collections to join its executive finance leadership team at its international headquarters in Dublin.


The organisation is a multi-billion-dollar, publicly listed global enterprise employing over 40,000 people worldwide. Following a period of significant transformation, the business is entering a new phase of growth under recently appointed leadership, making this an exceptional time to join.


Based in Dublin and reporting to the Senior Vice President, Finance Shared Services (ExCo-1), this executive will lead a large, globally distributed Billing & Collections function. The role has end-to-end responsibility for billing, invoicing, collections and cash application, with a clear mandate to improve cash performance, controls, efficiency and customer experience.


The successful candidate will define and deliver a transformation roadmap for the order-to-cash cycle, standardising global processes and using automation, analytics and AI to create a more scalable operating model.


Key responsibilities will include:

• Providing executive leadership across global billing, invoicing, collections and cash application

• Improving billing accuracy, cycle times, cash conversion and DSO

• Developing the global collections and working-capital strategy

• Strengthening process governance, financial controls and audit compliance

• Driving standardisation, automation and AI-enabled transformation

• Partnering with senior Finance, Commercial and Operational stakeholders

• Leading the organisational design and development of a large international team

• Acting as a trusted adviser to senior leadership on cash performance and customer-account risk


The ideal candidate will bring:

• 15+ years’ experience across billing, collections or order-to-cash, including senior leadership responsibility

• A proven record of leading large-scale operations in a complex, international organisation

• Deep expertise in working-capital improvement, cash flow and order-to-cash processes

• Demonstrable success delivering process improvement, automation and technology-enabled transformation at scale

• Experience leading geographically dispersed teams within a shared-services or global-business-services model

• Strong financial-systems and digital-optimisation experience

• A consultative approach and the credibility to influence senior executives

• Strong commercial judgement, analytical capability and financial-control awareness

• A relevant Finance or Accounting qualification; a professional accountancy qualification would be advantageous


Location:

Dublin — hybrid working, with an expected office presence of three days per week
