Job Description

Role Summary:

Visa’s Value-Added Services (VAS) business brings together a broad portfolio of issuing, acceptance, risk, data, consulting, marketing and digital capabilities that help clients grow, manage risk, improve customer experiences and operate more effectively. Working alongside Visa’s core payments network, the VAS team converts Visa’s global assets, expertise and technology into differentiated solutions for issuers, acquirers, merchants, fintechs, processors and ecosystem partners.

The VAS KBO team is responsible for translating Visa’s regional VAS strategy into market-level growth. It works in close partnership with country leadership, account teams, product, sales engineering, consulting and delivery teams to identify client needs, shape compelling solutions and scale adoption across the sub-region. The team plays a central role in strengthening Visa’s client proposition and diversifying growth beyond traditional payments revenue.

What a Vice President, Head of Value-Added Services (VAS), KSA, Bahrain, and Oman (KBO) does at Visa:

  • Own and deliver VAS revenue, bookings, sales and portfolio-growth targets across the KBO sub-region, with clear accountability for pipeline quality, forecast accuracy and conversion.
  • Develop and execute a focused KBO VAS growth strategy aligned with regional priorities, market opportunities and the needs of Visa’s clients.
  • Increase client penetration and accelerate adoption across Visa’s VAS portfolio, building deeper, multi-product relationships with issuers, acquirers, merchants, fintechs, processors and ecosystem partners.
  • Lead the end-to-end commercial agenda, from opportunity identification and solution shaping through contracting, implementation and value realization.
  • Embed VAS into broader Visa account strategies and client engagements, increasing share of wallet and positioning VAS as an integral part of Visa’s overall value proposition.
  • Build trusted relationships with senior client executives and act as executive sponsor for priority opportunities, strategic partnerships and complex client engagements.
  • Use data, advanced analytics and AI-enabled insights to improve opportunity prioritization, personalize client propositions, strengthen sales effectiveness and accelerate pipeline conversion.
  • Champion responsible experimentation with AI-enabled tools and solutions, translating emerging capabilities into practical client and commercial outcomes while applying appropriate governance and human judgment.
  • Create a high-performance, client-centric culture across specialized sales, sales engineering and supporting VAS resources, with a strong focus on accountability, collaboration and execution excellence.
  • Coach and develop talent, deploy resources against the highest-value opportunities and build the portfolio expertise required for differentiated, consultative solution selling.
  • Partner closely with Country Managers, Account Executives, Regional VAS Sales, Product, Go-to-Market and Commercialization, Client Services, Visa Consulting & Analytics, Risk, Marketing Services, Legal, Finance, Strategy and Corporate Relations.
  • Bring client feedback and market insight into portfolio prioritization, product readiness and investment decisions, helping Visa scale the solutions with the strongest potential for client impact and profitable growth.
  • Operate as a visible leader across KBO and the wider CEMEA VAS organization, simplifying selling motions, sharing best practice and ensuring disciplined commercial governance.
  • This is a client-facing role operating under a Sales Incentive Plan and requires travel of up to 30%.

Why this is important to Visa:

Value-Added Services is a critical growth engine for Visa, extending the value we create for clients beyond payment credentials and transaction processing. The KBO sub-region offers significant opportunity to deepen client relationships, expand multi-product adoption and bring together Visa’s data, risk, consulting, acceptance, marketing and digital capabilities in ways that solve clients’ most important business challenges.

This role will set the commercial direction for VAS across KBO and turn that opportunity into sustained revenue growth and measurable client impact. The successful candidate will have the mandate to shape a high-growth business, influence Visa’s regional portfolio and investment choices, and build an integrated team capable of scaling both established and emerging solutions. By combining strong commercial leadership with AI-enabled insight, disciplined execution and close partnership across Visa, the role will strengthen Visa’s differentiation and help position the company for continued growth through 2030 and beyond.

Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

What you will need:

  • 15+ years of progressive leadership experience spanning sales, business development, client management and financial services, with clear accountability for commercial outcomes.
  • A proven record of exceeding revenue targets and scaling businesses in complex B2B environments, supported by disciplined pipeline management, forecasting and opportunity governance.
  • Deep knowledge of the payments, banking, fintech, acceptance, merchant and digital commerce ecosystems, together with the ability to translate market shifts into practical growth opportunities.
  • Experience in one or more relevant VAS domains such as data and analytics, risk solutions, consulting, loyalty, marketing services, acceptance, issuing or digital products.
  • Credibility with C-suite clients, including the ability to identify strategic needs, shape enterprise propositions, negotiate complex agreements and build long-term partnerships.
  • Demonstrated success leading and developing high-performing commercial teams and influencing across products, markets and functions in a matrixed, multi-country organization.
  • An analytical, digitally fluent mindset, with practical experience using data, advanced analytics and AI-enabled tools to improve decision-making, commercial productivity or client outcomes.
  • The judgment to apply AI responsibly, challenge model-generated outputs, protect confidential information and combine technology-enabled insight with sound commercial and human decision-making.
  • A strong customer-first orientation, with the curiosity to understand client economics and the ability to connect multiple Visa capabilities into differentiated solutions.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation and relationship-management skills, with the ability to simplify complexity and create alignment around clear priorities.
  • The leadership range to set bold direction, act decisively, collaborate across boundaries and build an inclusive environment where people are accountable, supported and able to perform at their best.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial and highly collaborative environment. An MBA or equivalent advanced qualification is preferred.
