The Innovation, Growth Products & Commercialisation team brings together innovation, design, solution architecture, growth products and commercialisation to turn ideas into market-ready solutions and accelerate product adoption across Asia Pacific. The team develops client-focused solutions in fast-growing commerce domains, including agentic commerce, non-card payment solutions, crypto and digital currency, while providing end-to-end support from concept and design through build, launch and scale.
What a VP, Innovation, Growth Products & Commercialisation, Asia Pacific does at Visa:
The role is accountable for translating strategic priorities and emerging technologies into differentiated client experiences, scalable products and measurable commercial outcomes. It connects market insight, product strategy, design, solution architecture and go-to-market execution so that Visa can move with greater speed from idea to adoption.
The role has three primary focus areas:
- Innovation and Solution Development: Lead the design, solutioning, build and delivery of fit-for-purpose, market-aligned products and client experiences. Use AI, including agentic AI, to identify opportunities, reimagine customer journeys and accelerate the development of new commerce experiences.
- Growth Products: Lead the Asia Pacific strategy, development and commercialisation of three priority growth areas:
- Agentic Commerce: Shape and deliver the next generation of AI-enabled and agentic commerce experiences, defining how Visa remains embedded in new consumer, merchant and payment journeys.
- Stablecoins & Crypto: Strengthen and commercialise Visa’s capabilities across stablecoin settlement, the Visa Tokenized Asset Platform and crypto issuance, translating emerging digital currency opportunities into scalable propositions.
- Non-card Payments: Develop and execute Visa’s Asia Pacific non-card payments strategy, identifying opportunities to extend Visa’s capabilities into new payment flows and scale solutions across markets.
- Commercialisation: Build and execute a consistent regional approach that sharpens customer value propositions, accelerates go-to-market execution and scales priority products through cross-functional delivery.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead and develop a multidisciplinary regional team spanning innovation, design, solution architecture, growth products, digital currencies and commercialisation.
- Build a clear portfolio of innovation and growth priorities aligned with Visa’s regional strategy, client needs and market opportunities.
- Transform product concepts into novel, market-aligned experiences, using rapid experimentation, client insight and disciplined product development.
- Lead the responsible application of AI and agentic AI across product discovery, solution design, client experiences and commercialisation, in partnership with Visa’s technology, data, risk and product teams.
- Develop and continuously refine Visa’s Asia Pacific non-card payment solutions strategy and create pathways to scale across diverse markets.
- Strengthen and commercialise Visa Tokenized Asset Platform, stablecoin settlement solutions and crypto issuance propositions in relevant Asia Pacific markets.
- Shape and deliver next-generation agentic commerce experiences that keep Visa central to emerging digital payment journeys.
- Act as the regional Commercialisation Centre of Excellence, developing playbooks, templates, narratives and repeatable best practices that increase product adoption.
- Lead client engagements and workshops to define best-practice journeys, sharpen customer value propositions and fast-track go-to-market execution.
- Lead end-to-end commercialisation for priority products through cross-functional teams, connecting Product, Technology, Solutions, Sales, Visa Consulting & Analytics, Risk, Legal, Finance and market teams.
- Accelerate client implementation by coordinating technology, solution, delivery and scale partners and removing barriers from concept through deployment.
- Showcase products in development through compelling client experiences, demonstrations, thought leadership and industry engagement.
- Establish clear portfolio governance and success measures, balancing innovation, strategic value, commercial potential, execution feasibility and risk.
Why this is important to Visa
The VP, Innovation, Growth Products & Commercialisation, Asia Pacific is critical to Visa’s growth ambitions towards 2030 and beyond. As payments and commerce evolve, Visa’s future success will increasingly depend on its ability to participate in new payment flows and build relevance beyond traditional card-based payments. The role leads three strategic growth areas, Agentic Commerce, Stablecoins & Crypto, and Non-card Payments, which have the potential to expand where and how Visa participates in the movement of money and create new sources of value for clients and consumers. By bringing these Growth Products together with innovation and commercialisation, the VP will turn emerging opportunities into scalable propositions and businesses, accelerating client adoption and helping build the next generation of growth engines for Visa across Asia Pacific.
