Company Background

The mission of Neurogene is to treat devastating neurological diseases to improve the lives of patients and families impacted by these rare diseases. Neurogene is developing novel approaches and treatments to address the limitations of conventional gene therapy in central nervous system disorders. This includes selecting a delivery approach to maximize distribution to target tissues and designing products to maximize potency and purity for an optimized efficacy and safety profile. The Company’s novel and proprietary EXACT transgene regulation platform technology allows for the delivery of therapeutic levels while limiting transgene toxicity associated with conventional gene therapy.

Neurogene has constructed a state-of-the-art gene therapy manufacturing facility in Houston, Texas. CGMP production of NGN-401 was conducted in this facility and will support pivotal clinical development activities. This transformative work is driven by our highly collaborative people who come together each day to bring us closer to achieving our mission. As an employee of Neurogene, you will be part of building a culture that honors patient and caregiver mindsets and nurtures innovation, creative problem solving and a strong sense of purpose.

Position Overview - Reports To - Chief Commercial Officer – Remote

Neurogene is seeking an accomplished, strategic, and entrepreneurial Vice President of Market Access and Value to lead the development and execution of its U.S. market access strategy as the company advances toward commercialization of innovative gene therapies for patients with rare neurological diseases. Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, this executive will play a critical role in preparing Neurogene for the potential launch of NGN-401, an investigational gene therapy for Rett syndrome, while establishing scalable market access capabilities to support the company's broader pipeline.

The Vice President will be responsible for developing comprehensive strategies across payer engagement, reimbursement, government programs, institutional access, contracting, and value demonstration. A central priority will be addressing the unique economic, operational, and reimbursement complexities associated with high-cost, potentially one-time gene therapies administered at specialized treatment centers.

The ideal candidate brings a successful track record in rare disease commercialization, a sophisticated understanding of the evolving cell and gene therapy reimbursement landscape and demonstrated ability to translate complex market access challenges into actionable strategies that enable patient access. This individual must be equally comfortable operating as a strategic executive, engaging with external stakeholders, and building the organizational capabilities required for a successful first commercial launch.

This is a unique opportunity to shape the market access foundation of an emerging gene therapy company at a pivotal stage of development. The Vice President of Market Access will play a defining role in building the reimbursement and access infrastructure necessary to support Neurogene's first potential commercial launch and future pipeline.

Success will require more than achieving payer coverage. It will require building an integrated access ecosystem in which payers, treatment centers, healthcare professionals, patients, and caregivers can navigate the complexities of gene therapy commercialization.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to establish a critical commercial capability, influence Neurogene's long-term commercialization strategy, and contribute meaningfully to the company's mission of bringing innovative therapies to patients and families affected by rare neurological diseases.
