Description
Opportunity Finance Network is looking to fill the position of Vice President, Marketing. Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Strategic Communications, the Vice President drives the development and execution of OFN's enterprise marketing strategy, aligning audience engagement, brand, and marketing priorities with organizational goals.
The VP develops and oversees integrated marketing campaigns that drive participation in OFN offerings, including the organization's industry-leading events, capacity and community building development services, and policy-related calls to action. The VP turns organizational objectives into actionable campaigns, audience journeys, and measurable engagement strategies. The role also stewards OFN's brand and value propositions, leads marketing technology and performance measurement, and leads the marketing team and its agency and vendor partners.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Marketing & Brand Leadership
- Partner with the SVP, Strategic Communications to shape and execute OFN's enterprise marketing strategy, serving as a senior strategic partner on brand, audience strategy, digital engagement, and major campaigns.
- Lead integrated marketing strategies that strengthen OFN's brand and drive participation in its programs, products, services, and events; develop and manage the annual marketing plan and campaign calendar.
- Steward OFN's brand strategy and positioning, ensuring a consistent, compelling expression of OFN's identity across audiences, channels, and experiences; develop and strengthen value propositions for OFN, its membership, programs, and initiatives.
- Develop audience segmentation and engagement strategies for members, prospective members, investors, funders, partners, and practitioners, and lead acquisition, engagement, retention, and re-engagement strategies.
- Manage and optimize OFN's marketing technology ecosystem, including CRM, marketing automation, email, CMS, analytics, digital advertising, AI-enabled tools, and event marketing platforms.
Integrated Marketing, Audience Growth & Performance
- Lead integrated campaigns across email, web, social, digital advertising, events, and partnerships to increase awareness, engagement, participation, and conversion.
- Develop marketing strategies for OFN's major programs and initiatives, including membership, conferences and events, professional development, research and data offerings, and capital initiatives.
- Develop and optimize audience journeys across OFN's digital ecosystem, improving how stakeholders discover, engage with, and act on OFN's offerings.
- Establish performance frameworks and dashboards tracking reach, engagement, conversion, audience growth, and return on marketing investment, using data and testing to continuously improve results.
Market Positioning, Engagement & Organizational Growth
- Partner with Membership leaders on member acquisition, engagement, and retention, and with Development and Capitalization teams on strategies that strengthen relationships with investors, funders, and capital providers.
- Build strong partnerships across OFN to translate enterprise narratives and priorities into coordinated, audience-centered campaigns, assets, and calls to action.
- Conduct and apply audience, market, competitive, and stakeholder research, ensuring major initiatives have clearly defined audiences, value propositions, calls to action, and measures of success.
Team Leadership & Partner Management
- Lead, coach, and develop marketing staff; establish disciplined campaign-management processes; and oversee agencies and vendors with clear scopes, budgets, and success measures.

- Bachelor's degree, or 5–7 years of related work experience in lieu of a degree.
- 5–7 years of progressively responsible communications experience with demonstrated expertise in communications operations, media relations, and executive communications.
- Experience within, or demonstrated knowledge of, the Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) industry.
- Recent, hands-on experience personally using core platforms, including WordPress, Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud, Meltwater/Cision/PR Newswire, Mailchimp, Google Analytics, Salesforce/Pardot, AI-enabled workflow tools, and Cvent.
- Experience managing communications teams, vendors, and complex cross-functional initiatives.
- Strong background supporting executive communications, crisis communications, and public affairs.
- Experience using project management software such as Asana, Monday.com, or similar platforms.
- Nonprofit, financial services, economic development, public policy, or mission-driven communications experience preferred.

The target salary range for this position is $116,000 – $131,000. The salary offered will depend on internal pay equity and the candidate's relevant skills, experience, qualifications, and job market data. Exceptional performers in this role who make an outsized contribution can make well in excess of this range.
