VP Marketing

Copenhagen | Stockholm | Oslo | Hybrid

Ecommerce | Consumer Tech | International

Some growth roles are about optimising what's already working. This one is about reimagining what's possible.

We are partnering with an ambitious, high-growth international consumer business to appoint a VP Marketing — a transformational leadership hire with the mandate to build a smarter, more connected and significantly more powerful growth engine.

This is a high-impact opportunity for a commercially sharp, product-minded growth executive who thrives where customer experience, technology, data and marketing converge.

The ambition? To turn every customer interaction into an opportunity for greater engagement, stronger loyalty and sustainable commercial growth.

The Mission: Architect the Next Generation of Growth

Forget siloed marketing functions and disconnected customer journeys.

This role is about creating one intelligent, integrated growth ecosystem — bringing together acquisition, activation, conversion, engagement and retention into a unified strategy that delivers measurable impact.

You'll take ownership of the end-to-end customer growth agenda, with a particular opportunity to transform the business's lifecycle, CRM and personalisation capabilities into genuine competitive advantages.

Your mandate will include:

  • Build the growth flywheel: Connect customer acquisition, product experience, engagement and retention to accelerate customer lifetime value and sustainable revenue growth.
  • Unlock the lifecycle opportunity: Reimagine CRM, customer communications and engagement strategies, moving beyond traditional campaigns towards intelligent, behaviour-led customer journeys.
  • Make personalisation a growth multiplier: Harness customer insights, audience intelligence and technology to deliver more relevant, timely and impactful experiences across digital touchpoints.
  • Connect product and commercial performance: Bring marketing, product and engineering closer together, transforming on-site and in-app experiences into powerful drivers of conversion and loyalty.
  • Create an experimentation powerhouse: Embed a culture of continuous testing, rapid learning and evidence-based decision-making, supported by scalable data and measurement capabilities.
  • Unify and elevate the organisation: Lead, inspire and develop a multidisciplinary team of approximately 30–40 specialists, creating alignment, clarity and momentum across previously fragmented capabilities.

The Leader: Part Growth Strategist. Part Product Thinker. Part Builder.

We're not looking for a conventional marketing executive.

And we're certainly not looking for someone whose growth playbook begins and ends with paid acquisition.

We're looking for a modern, full-spectrum growth leader.

Someone who understands that the most powerful growth opportunities often sit beyond the first transaction — in the experiences that bring customers back, the intelligence that makes interactions more relevant and the technology that makes it all scalable.

You'll bring:

  • End-to-end growth ownership: A proven ability to influence the complete customer journey, from acquisition and activation through to repeat engagement and retention.
  • Deep lifecycle expertise: A strong command of CRM, customer engagement, segmentation, personalisation and customer value optimisation.
  • Product and technology fluency: The credibility to partner with product managers, engineers and data leaders to shape better digital experiences and deliver commercial outcomes.
  • An experimentation mindset: Experience building testing frameworks, measurement disciplines and data-informed growth strategies.
  • Leadership at scale: The ability to align, energise and develop cross-functional teams in dynamic, high-growth or scaling businesses.
  • Strategic ambition with executional edge: The vision to design the future growth model and the operational discipline to make it happen.

We are particularly interested in product-led growth executives who have successfully moved the needle on customer engagement, frequency, retention and lifetime value.

You don't need to have built your entire career in performance marketing. In fact, exceptional leaders from lifecycle, product growth and customer engagement backgrounds could be especially compelling.

Why This Opportunity Stands Out

Real ownership. Real scale. Real transformation.

This isn't a role built around maintaining an established playbook.

It's an opportunity to help define the next phase of growth for an international consumer business with significant opportunity still to unlock.

You'll inherit meaningful scale, an established multidisciplinary team and a mandate to rethink how the business attracts, converts, engages and retains its customers.

Crucially, you'll have the opportunity to build the foundations for something much bigger: a connected, data-powered growth organisation where product, marketing and customer intelligence work as one.

Location

Copenhagen, Stockholm or Oslo, with a hybrid working model.

We welcome conversations with senior growth leaders already based in the Nordics, as well as those genuinely open to relocating.

Ready to Build Something Exceptional?

If you're a growth executive who thinks beyond channels, sees customer experience as a commercial advantage and knows how to turn data, product and creativity into scalable growth, we'd love to hear from you.

This is more than a VP Growth appointment. It's an opportunity to shape how an international consumer business grows for years to come.
