ACHE is a hybrid work environment, requiring 2 days per week in our Chicago loop office and as such, only Chicago area based candidates will be considered.

SUMMARY
The Vice President of Membership & Field Relations provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for ACHE's member engagement ecosystem, including membership growth, retention, volunteer leadership relations, and chapter engagement. The position is responsible for cultivating and maintaining relationships with ACHE's volunteer leaders, including oversight of programs, initiatives, and services supporting the Council of Regents and committees. In partnership with staff and chapter leaders, the Vice President advances strategies that strengthen member value, enhance engagement, and align the activities of ACHE's 75-member chapter network with the organization's mission, goals, and strategic priorities.

JOB FUNCTIONS
- Council of Regents Support 45% of Time Provides direction for the implementation of ACHE’s strategy for the Council of Regents and enables volunteer leaders to carry out their responsibilities effectively and efficiently. This support is comprised of staff members who execute the following functions:
- Council of Regents Annual Meeting, Regents Leadership Conference and other Regent activities during the Congress on Healthcare Leadership.
- Regent activities at the Chapter Leaders Conference.
- District Meetings.
- Annual Council of Regents election, Regent-at-Large appointments and subsequent orientation activities.
- Assessment of Regent performance through the tracking of activities and evaluation by the Regent Assessment Committee.
- Regent-at-Large engagement with Diversity, Equity and Inclusion strategies and initiatives.
- Appointment and support of Regent Advisory Councils.
- Report to Regents.
- Drive Regent engagement with Higher Education Network programs.
- Foster alignment with the chapter relations team to support effective collaboration and communication between Regents and chapters.
- Chapter Governance & Support 20% of Time
- Identifies opportunities and leads the strategy to optimize the current and future needs of chapters and ACHE, including leveraging technology resources.
- Ensures alignment of governance documents with strategy.
- Provides oversight to the Chapter Relations director and team to identify and deploy resources that help chapter leaders effectively perform their roles.
- Ensure the ability of chapters to efficiently deliver value to members equally across the network.
- Membership Growth & Retention 20% of Time
- Design, execute, and evaluate comprehensive member recruitment and retention strategy and tactics to meet annual revenue growth targets.
- Utilize data analytics and member feedback/surveys to track engagement trends, identify high-risk segments, and refine the association’s value proposition.
- Design and execute the new Member onboarding process.
- Communicate across stakeholders membership growth, retention and engagement goals and activities.
- Management Activities 10% of Time
- Schedules, directs, and accepts responsibility for the work of all employees in the department.
- Ensures department personnel keep up to date with plans and developments affecting ACHE and chapter relations.
- Serves as a member of the senior leadership team.
- Prepares and monitors budget in all supervised areas.
- Ensures budget objectives are met.
- Facilitates communication between senior management and other staff by conducting departmental meetings and utilizing other channels as appropriate.
- Provides timely reports to the President/CEO on departmental activities and progress.
- Miscellaneous Activities 5% of Time
- Serve as liaison to the Chapter Committee.
- Manages elected leader speaker program and evaluates effectiveness.
- Serves as liaison to federal sector (uniformed services and veterans affairs) members.
- Assists with any special projects as requested.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- Master’s degree in health administration, business administration, or related field.
- Minimum of ten years management and/or association experience, including chapter relations and supervisory experience.
- Knowledge of the healthcare field preferred. FACHE credential preferred or ability to achieve the credential.
- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Must have strong customer service orientation.
- Must have strong team orientation.
- Ability to use word processing software (Microsoft Word).
- Good time management and organizational skills.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Must possess sound judgment, discretion, and a high degree of professionalism.
- Ability to memorize a wide variety and type of information.
- Ability to make and facilitate decisions and ability to respond quickly to situations influencing decision making.
- Ability to travel.
- Must have regular and predictable attendance.

COMPENSATION
This is an exempt role, paid on a bi-weekly basis. We anticipate filling this position in a salary range of $155,000 - $190,000 annually.

This salary range represents ACHE’s good faith estimate of the possible compensation offer for this role at the time of posting. The compensation offered will take the following into consideration: education, relevant experience, certifications, organizational budget, and market estimates for the role.
