Overview

When someone living with opioid use disorder is ready for help, the speed and quality of the referral they receive can change the trajectory of their life. As our Vice President of National Partnerships, you'll own the strategy that makes those referrals happen — at scale, across the country.

Pay Range: $210,000 - $255,000 + Bonus + Benefits

Fully Remote work (Not available to residents of: AK, AR, CA, HI, ID, NE, SD, UT, WY). We are prioritizing candidates who align with the Eastern time zone (EDT/EST) for consistent overlap and availability with our core clinical and operational teams.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do

Own the national growth strategy. You'll build and execute our national referral partnership strategy across healthcare, justice-involved, and community-based channels — setting clear channel strategies, market priorities, and measurable targets for referral volume, conversion, and census growth. Then you'll own the results.

Turn relationships into results. You'll deepen our highest-performing partnerships, expand referral volume from current partners, and source, sign, and activate new ones. When you see an emerging growth opportunity, you'll test it, prove it, and scale it.

Lead and grow a distributed team. You'll coach Partnership Development Managers across multiple markets — setting clear expectations for account ownership, field activity, CRM discipline, and follow-through, and building a culture where accountability and high morale feed each other. Through regular one-to-ones, market reviews, and coaching, you'll sharpen their consultative selling, executive communication, and partner development skills.

Build bridges across functions. You'll strengthen warm-handoff workflows and remove barriers, so more referrals lead to timely access to care, successful member activation, and sustained engagement in treatment — partnering with Marketing, Member Access, Operations, and Clinical teams along the way.

Represent us in the field. You'll build and maintain relationships with high-value national, regional, and market-level partners — courts, correctional agencies, hospitals and health systems, recovery organizations, housing providers, health plans, government stakeholders, and community coalitions.

Change minds, open doors. Working with Marketing, Clinical, Operations, and Member Access, you'll develop partner-facing presentations, education, and messaging — leading partner education on medication for opioid use disorder (MOUD) and evidence-based treatment, especially with justice and community partners, to reduce stigma and open referral pathways.

Let data drive the plan. You'll use market intelligence — competitive dynamics, referral trends, emerging partnership models — to decide which markets and partnerships to prioritize, with performance visibility your team and our executives can act on.

Build what's next. You'll recommend team design, role clarity, incentives, reporting, and CRM capabilities needed to scale — and partner with Emerging Markets to build referral pipelines so new locations open with volume already flowing.

Work Environment/Schedule

This is a national leadership role built for connection. You'll lead a distributed, multi-market team and work cross-functionally with Marketing, Member Access, Operations, Clinical, and executive leadership.

You'll travel as needed for partner meetings, conferences, presentations, market visits, community events, and team engagement. You'll also represent the Partnership Development function in executive discussions, planning sessions, growth reviews, and market performance meetings.

Qualifications

What You Bring

  • 10+ years of healthcare growth, business development, partnership development, market development, or related leadership experience
  • A track record of building high-performing, distributed teams across multiple markets or states — and translating referral partnerships into measurable growth
  • Deep understanding of referral development, account management, healthcare partnerships, and market activation
  • The ability to build scalable strategies from complex, ambiguous environments
  • Fluency with CRM systems, dashboards, pipeline tools, and performance reporting (Salesforce a plus)
  • Executive-level communication — written narratives, presentations, board-level updates, and partner-facing materials
  • The ability to partner effectively with clinical, operational, analytics, marketing, and executive teams
  • Strong coaching, prioritization, and change management skills
  • Willingness to travel for partner meetings, conferences, market visits, and team engagement

Strongly preferred: experience in addiction treatment, behavioral health, value-based care, Medicaid, justice-involved care, health systems, or community-based healthcare.

Why Join Us

  • Expand access to care. Help more people connect with evidence-based addiction treatment by making referral pathways easier to navigate.
  • Shape national growth. Own the partnership strategy, test new opportunities, and help build a function that can scale.
  • Develop people. Coach a multi-market team with clear goals, meaningful feedback, and shared accountability for results.
  • Help reduce stigma. Equip healthcare, justice-system, and community partners with knowledge that opens more pathways to treatment.

Put your growth expertise to work expanding access to evidence-based addiction treatment. At Groups, you'll connect healthcare, justice, and community partners to care, help reduce stigma around MOUD, and shape how a national partnership function grows. It's an opportunity to pair strategic influence with a clear purpose: helping more people start treatment and stay engaged in care.
