Extreme Hospitality is seeking a highly accomplished, strategic, and results-driven Vice President of Commercial Strategy to support topline revenue growth and commercial performance across our diverse hospitality portfolio.

This executive leadership role will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive commercial strategies that align revenue management, sales, marketing, digital strategy, distribution, and commercial technology around clearly defined property-level objectives and measurable results.

The Vice President will oversee the commercial performance of branded and independent hotels, resorts, conference centers, and other hospitality assets, tailoring strategies to each property's market positioning, business mix, operational capabilities, and ownership objectives.

A critical component of this role is the ability to connect commercial strategy with technology and execution. The successful candidate will identify opportunities for greater integration and efficiency, and help ensure that commercial platforms, business processes, and property teams work together to support revenue growth and a seamless guest experience.

The ideal candidate is an experienced hotel commercial executive who combines strong business acumen, analytical capabilities, and technical expertise with a practical, hands-on approach to leadership and execution.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial Strategy & Revenue Growth

  • Lead commercial strategy across the company's hospitality portfolio, with accountability for topline revenue growth, market share, and overall commercial performance.
  • Develop and execute integrated strategies aligning revenue management, sales, marketing, digital initiatives, distribution, and other commercial functions.
  • Establish actionable, property-specific commercial plans with clearly defined performance targets, responsibilities, timelines, and measurable outcomes.

  • Analyze market conditions, competitive positioning, consumer demand, and property performance to identify growth opportunities.
  • Adapt commercial strategies to accommodate differences in hotel brands, property types, markets, and ownership objectives.
  • Establish clear commercial accountability and performance expectations across corporate and property-level teams.

Sales, Marketing & Distribution Alignment

  • Provide strategic oversight and coordination of sales, marketing, digital strategy, and distribution initiatives across the portfolio.
  • Ensure commercial disciplines operate within a coordinated strategy designed to maximize revenue opportunities and market penetration.
  • Evaluate sales production, account performance, market segmentation, and business mix to identify opportunities for incremental growth.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop targeted initiatives that align with property-level revenue objectives.
  • Assess digital marketing effectiveness, booking conversion, channel performance, and opportunities to increase direct revenue contribution.
  • Identify opportunities to improve commercial performance through enhanced coordination between property teams, brand resources, and third-party partners.
  • Promote effective collaboration between revenue management, sales, marketing, and distribution functions to ensure consistent execution of commercial priorities.

Performance Analytics, Reporting & Accountability

  • Establish consistent commercial performance reporting standards, key performance indicators, and analytical frameworks across the portfolio.
  • Monitor topline performance, market share, pricing effectiveness, sales production, distribution contribution, and other relevant commercial metrics.
  • Evaluate the accuracy, reliability, and accessibility of commercial performance data across systems and platforms.
  • Translate complex financial, operational, and commercial information into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Develop and maintain reporting tools, dashboards, and performance review processes that support timely decision-making.
  • Identify performance gaps and work with property-level and corporate teams to develop corrective action plans.
  • Track progress against established commercial objectives and ensure accountability for assigned initiatives.
  • Prepare and present commercial performance results, strategic recommendations, and action plans to executive leadership, property owners, and other stakeholders.

Cross-Functional Leadership & Execution

  • Serve as a key commercial leader working collaboratively with company executives, regional leadership, property management teams, and external partners.
  • Coordinate cross-functional initiatives involving revenue management, sales, marketing, IT, operations, finance, and technology vendors.
  • Ensure commercial strategies are supported by appropriate processes, systems, resources, and clearly defined responsibilities.
  • Lead projects requiring coordination between multiple departments, properties, brands, and outside stakeholders.
  • Facilitate the evaluation, implementation, and adoption of commercial initiatives and technology solutions.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Provide strategic guidance to property-level teams while ensuring that commercial initiatives remain practical, measurable, and executable.

Portfolio Standards & Continuous Improvement

  • Develop scalable commercial playbooks, operating standards, reporting practices, and best-in-class processes that can be adapted across different hotel types and markets.
  • Identify opportunities to standardize commercial workflows and technology practices while preserving flexibility for individual property requirements.
  • Evaluate existing commercial processes and recommend improvements that reduce inefficiencies, enhance data accuracy, and strengthen execution.
  • Establish repeatable approaches to commercial planning, performance management, systems evaluation, and implementation.
  • Continuously assess emerging industry trends, evolving guest behaviors, and commercial technologies to identify opportunities for competitive advantage.
