The VP EMEA Water is the senior business owner for Gentrack's entire water portfolio across Europe, combining the management and growth of existing UK water accounts with the strategic expansion of Gentrack's water practice into selected EMEA markets.

This is a dual mandate role: protecting and growing existing water P&L while pioneering Gentrack's expansion into European water markets, leveraging the company's strong Australian and UK track records as proof points. Active pipeline responsibilities include WaterPlus and United Utilities.

The VP EMEA Water is expected to be a recognised authority in the water sector, capable of engaging at CxO level with customers, regulators, SIs and industry bodies.

Your Key Responsibilities

Deep expertise in the UK and/or European water sector:
  • Regulation, market structure, technology landscape and utility operations
  • P&L leadership in a commercial or customer-facing role in the water or wider utilities sector
  • Executive-level relationship management with water utility CxOs, OFWAT and water industry bodies
  • Track record of winning and managing complex enterprise water deals (billing, CIS, metering, managed services)
  • Strong commercial acumen: contract governance, pricing, margin management and multi-year deal structuring
  • Experience developing and executing market expansion plans in regulated utility environments
  • Ability to lead, build and develop high-performing account management teams
  • Credibility and existing network within the SI and advisory ecosystem relevant to the water sector

What We’re Looking For:

Essential Skills & Experience:
  • 10+ years in the water sector, enterprise software or utility services, with at least 5 years in a senior commercial or P&L-bearing role
  • Demonstrable experience managing or growing a portfolio of complex water utility accounts
  • Track record of winning significant new business deals in the water sector (£5M+ TCV)
  • Knowledge of UK water regulatory framework (OFWAT, open water market, D-MeX, C MeX) required
  • Familiarity with EMEA water market dynamics (Netherlands, France, Southern Europe, Nordics) a strong advantage
  • Prior experience at a water technology vendor, SI or management consultancy a plus
  • Degree-level education; MBA or equivalent a strong plus
