- Oversee Form 990, New York CHAR500, and other applicable filings and regulatory reporting.
- Ensure compliance with financial requirements associated with grants, contracts, donors, and other funding sources.
Manage revenue, risk, and administration
- Partner with Development and Advancement teams on gift processing, donor reporting, revenue recognition, and grant proposals.
- Oversee financial administration of grants, contracts, sponsorships, billing, and collections.
- Review contracts for financial, compliance, and risk considerations.
- Partner with Operations on insurance coverage, renewals, claims, and broker relationships.
- Oversee payroll and benefits administration in collaboration with TriNet, Human Resources, and other providers.

Strengthen teams, systems, and organizational effectiveness
- Lead and develop the finance and accounting function, including oversight of external accounting providers.
- Establish clear responsibilities, performance expectations, and development goals.
- Improve and automate processes to make financial information more accurate, accessible, and useful.
- Support strategic initiatives, fundraising activities, and executive and Board priorities.
- Represent the Foundation at donor meetings, conferences, and other external engagements as needed.
What You Bring
