Show job description
Ring Rescue is at an inflection point, and this role is at the center of it. We are bringing a new channel model to life, and opening segments no one has served yet. We are looking for a sales leader who wants to build, not just manage.

As VP of Sales, you will be a member of the leadership team with a seat at the table on how we grow. You will own revenue for our U.S. and Canadian commercial organization, including new-customer acquisition, growth in our installed base, and the expansion within our existing customers accounts. You will lead two routes to market under one operating standards.

  • Direct and inside sales
  • Distribution partners, managed to a clear performance standard

This is an operator's role with a builder's mandate. In your first two quarters you will put quota, compensation, coaching, and forecasting discipline in place. Then you will scale it through our channel build and the new products conversion campaign, working side by side with Training, Marketing, Finance, and Operations.

Why this role is worth a close look

  • Real ownership. You report directly to the Integrator / President and shape the sales strategy and plan, rather than inheriting a finished playbook.
  • A rare mix of challenges. Few sales leaders get to build an independent field network, set the standards for distribution partners, and lead a product conversion at the same time.
  • Room to grow the business. Beyond our core hospital customers, you will help open new segments such as fire/EMS, perioperative, and urgent care.
  • Work that matters. Our customers care for patients in some of the most demanding moments in medicine, and we win by earning their trust with integrity and honest reporting.
  • A culture you can help shape. We run on EOS, value straight talk, and aim for high performance and fun in equal measure.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and hold the sales organization accountable. Lead a team that sells to one standard, whether the rep is an employee, an independent, or a distributor partner.
  • Own the number and the forecast. Deliver new kit, consumable revenue, with a rolling forecast that leadership and Finance can plan against.
  • Build and manage the channel. Set performance standards, joint business plans, and territory and channel-conflict rules for distributors and independent reps.
  • Make the sales process the way work gets done. Drive adoption of our commercial playbook, keep pipeline quality high, and keep HubSpot the single source of truth.
  • Grow the installed base. Work with Training, Product, and Marketing to activate existing customers, and open new segments such as fire/EMS, perioperative, and urgent care.
  • Lead with integrity and run with EOS. Own a weekly Scorecard and quarterly Rocks as part of the leadership team.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years in medical device sales, including 4+ years leading quota-carrying teams
  • A track record selling capital equipment plus consumables into hospital emergency departments or comparable acute-care settings
  • Direct experience managing stocking distributors
  • Experience designing quota and compensation plans and holding reps and partners to them
  • Fluency in hospital buying systems, including value analysis committees, supply chain, and GPO/IDN contracting
  • CRM-driven forecasting and pipeline management (HubSpot experience preferred)
  • Honest reporting: you are comfortable presenting a miss and a recovery plan to senior leadership
  • Bachelor's degree, ideally in business, life sciences, health sciences, or a related field
  • Willingness to travel 40-50% during the channel build and Gen2 conversion campaign
  • A valid driver's license, the ability to meet hospital vendor credentialing requirements (such as vaccinations and background checks), and authorization to work in the U.S.

Nice to have

  • Experience leading a next-generation product conversion or end-of-life program
  • Fire/EMS or municipal sales experience, including master-dealer channels
  • A track record selling capital equipment plus consumables into hospital emergency departments or comparable acute-care settings
  • Experience in a company shifting from device sales toward recurring consumable revenue
  • Prior experience as a Scorecard and Rock owner in an EOS-run company
  • Experience with a Canadian or cross-border manufacturer selling into the U.S.
  • An MBA, a sales leadership certification (such as CSL), or a clinical background (RN, paramedic, respiratory therapist)
