Overview

IDC Research, Inc. (Boston, MA) seeks Vice President, Pricing & Operations as follows:

This role will be responsible for leading all global aspects of price determination, price simplification, pricing operations and deal desk responsibilities. This full-time position will report to SVP Product Marketing. The goal of the Vice President, Pricing & Operations is to play a pivotal role in shaping the global pricing strategy, ensuring alignment with market trends, aiding in new product introduction, and driving revenue growth through effective pricing practices

  • Develop and execute global pricing strategies that optimize revenue and profitability across all business units and geographic regions.
  • Lead and manage pricing operations, including price setting, discounting policies, and pricing governance processes.
  • Monitor market dynamics, competitive landscape, and emerging trends in pricing AI and data offerings to inform pricing decisions.
  • Establish and maintain pricing analytics capabilities to measure pricing performance, identify opportunities, and mitigate risks.
  • Telecommuting is permitted full-time.

Job Requirements:

  • Master’s Degree, or the foreign equivalent in Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Five (5) years of experience in pricing, strategy, and/or business analytics.
  • Five (5) years of experience pricing, revenue management, or related roles, within the technology or data industry.
  • Five (5) years of experience with use of analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in pricing analytics tools and methodologies.
  • Five (5) years of experience developing and implementing successful pricing strategies that drive revenue growth and margin expansion.
  • Five (5) years of experience in streamlining complex pricing structures and matrices to enhance clarity and ease of understanding for customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Five (5) years of experience implementing pricing tools and systems to automate and standardize pricing processes.

Compensation Transparency

At IDC, we are committed to fair and equitable pay practices. Employees are compensated equitably for their work, aligned with their skills and experience. Salary and incentive structures are determined through a rigorous process that considers experience, education, certifications, role-specific requirements, internal equity, and verified U.S. market data from an independent third-party partner.The range for this role is $319,100.00-$330,000.00/year.
