Your role at a glance NTT is currently looking for a Vice President, Regional Construction Execution (APAC). The Vice President, Regional Construction is a key executive role reporting directly to the Vice President, Global Construction. The successful candidate will have direct accountability for the design, supply chain and construction organizations in the region responsible for capital infrastructure investment. This role will provide strategic direction and leadership to enable and execute projects within specified timelines, budgets, and quality standards to enable the regional business goals of the company. This is a full time remote role based in Malaysia, Singapore or Thailand. What we are looking for KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans for the construction, design and supply chain organizations, aligning with the Global Infrastructure Development (GID) organization's overall goals, the business goals in the region and industry trends/best practices. Identify opportunities for growth, speed to market improvement, and cost optimization. Team Leadership: Manage a team of construction, design and supply chain professionals, including project managers, engineers, architects, commercial managers, etc. Foster a collaborative and high-performing work environment, promoting teamwork and individual development. Regional Leadership: Be the in-region leader of the broader GID team which includes the construction, design and supply chain organizations, but also global teams with in-region resources (safety, power, land, project controls and front end engineering). Project Management: Ensure proper project management is occurring from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to project plans, schedules, and budgets. Monitor progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies as necessary. Vendor and Contractor Management: Monitors the performance of general contractors, architects/engineers and other suppliers to ensure compliance, execution, quality, and safety standards. Supply Base Development: Personally engage with the key principals of supply chain partners to develop a supply chain that can reliably support the business needs of the company in the region. Budgeting and Financial Management: Liaisons with project controls on project funding plans, necessary financial forecasts and reports. Quality Assurance: Work with CX/Quality team to ensure adherence to quality assurance and commissioning programs and regulatory requirements are met. Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including sales, operations, clients and regulatory authorities. Communicate project updates, resolve issues, and maintain positive relationships with all parties involved. KNOWLEDGE & ATTRIBUTES Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, building codes, safety regulations, and industry best practices. Proven track record of successfully delivering complex construction projects on time and within budget. Ability to build a strong safety culture throughout the organization. Strong financial acumen and experience in budgeting, cost control, and financial analysis. Proficiency in project management software, construction management tools, and MS Office suite. Understanding of design and engineering. Proven experience in implementing processes in a rapid growth environment Knowledgeable of the basics necessary for operating in compliance where NTT is located. Knowledgeable of the key supply chain operating concepts, executive relationships with supply chain partners in the region and claims management. Knowledgeable of construction law and contracts. Skilled at creating and maintaining a collaborative design/construction/operations environment in a global culture. ACEDEMIC QUALIFICATIONS & CERTIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field. Master's degree (beneficial). REQUIRED EXPERIENCE Extensive experience (15+ years) in construction management, preferably in a leadership role within the construction industry. Ideally experience with design and supply chain sourcing in addition to construction. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Remain stationery for long periods of time. Operate computer, peripherals, and other office equipment. Perform work during regional business hours and time zones with flexibility for global coordination . WORK CONDITIONS AND REQUIREMENTS Travel required up to 50%. Perform work from a remote location with stable internet connection.
