These accolades highlight our dedication to being a leading brand in the beauty industry and an exceptional workplace.

What You’ll Do

The Vice President, Sourcing & Contract Manufacturing Performance will lead Sol de Janeiro’s global sourcing organization and contract manufacturing strategy, with responsibility for Direct and Indirect Procurement, Contract Manufacturing Sourcing, and Supplier Performance Management.

Reporting directly to the Chief Supply Chain Officer, this role will be responsible for building and executing sourcing strategies that support Sol de Janeiro’s continued global growth, innovation agenda, margin objectives, and supply chain resilience. The VP will oversee the commercial performance of our global supplier and contract manufacturing network, ensuring we have the right partners, capabilities, capacity, economics, and business continuity plans to support both today’s business and our future growth.

This leader will play a particularly important role in supporting Sol de Janeiro’s fast-paced innovation pipeline. Working closely with Product & Innovation, Technical Packaging, Planning, Finance, Commercial, Marketing, and other cross-functional partners, the VP will ensure new products and components are competitively sourced, commercially negotiated, capacity-secured, and positioned to achieve target costs and launch timelines.

The VP will also lead the evolution of Sol de Janeiro’s enterprise procurement capabilities, establishing modern sourcing practices, governance, supplier management, and spend strategies appropriate for a rapidly growing global beauty business.

What You’ll Be Working On

Global Sourcing & Procurement Strategy

  • Lead Sol de Janeiro’s global Direct and Indirect Procurement organization, developing sourcing strategies that balance cost, quality, service, innovation, capacity, risk, and speed.

  • Own sourcing strategy across all externally sourced materials and components supporting finished goods, including packaging components and raw materials.

  • Develop and maintain category and supplier strategies that ensure access to competitive capabilities, economics, capacity, and geographic options required to support continued global growth.

  • Lead competitive sourcing, RFQ/RFP processes, commercial negotiations, contracting, supplier selection, and ongoing commercial management across the global supply base.

  • Establish strong fact-based negotiation capabilities, leveraging market intelligence, cost drivers, competitive benchmarks, spend analytics, and supplier economics to deliver sustainable value.

  • Partner with cross-functional Supply Chain teams to identify and execute value engineering, continuous improvement, and cost-productivity opportunities across the existing portfolio.

  • Deliver productivity savings required within the annual operating plan and establish disciplined processes for identifying, validating, tracking, and reporting performance against the aligned productivity plan.

  • Manage sourcing performance through clear KPIs including PPV and cost savings, cost avoidance, payment terms, supplier risk, supplier performance, and sourcing support against innovation timelines.

Innovation & New Product Sourcing

  • Serve as the senior sourcing leader supporting Sol de Janeiro’s innovation and commercialization agenda, ensuring Procurement is engaged early enough to influence sourcing strategy, economics, capacity, and launch readiness.

  • Lead sourcing and commercial negotiations for new products, materials, and packaging components, including supplier identification, RFQs, competitive benchmarking, pricing negotiation, commercial terms, and capacity commitments.

  • Partner closely with Product & Innovation and Technical Packaging to ensure new products achieve target sourced costs prior to commercialization approval while supporting product, quality, brand, and timeline requirements.

  • Establish sourcing plans aligned with new product development milestones and ensure supplier commercial activities are completed on time to support aggressive innovation and launch timelines.

  • Create visibility to sourcing risks, commercial decisions, supplier constraints, cost pressures, and capacity requirements early enough in the commercialization process to enable effective cross-functional decision-making.

  • Ensure launch economics are competitively established while maintaining the flexibility and scalability required to support the growth of successful innovations.

Contract Manufacturing Strategy & Performance

  • Own Sol de Janeiro’s global contract manufacturing network strategy, working in close partnership with Product & Innovation and Planning to ensure the network has the capabilities, capacity, geographic footprint, economics, and resilience required to support the business.

  • Serve as a key stakeholder in the evaluation and selection of new contract manufacturing partners, bringing commercial, capacity, network, risk, and long-term strategic perspectives to supplier decisions.

  • Own the ongoing commercial relationship with contract manufacturers, including commercial agreements, cost structures, capacity commitments, productivity expectations, and executive-level relationships.

  • Lead contract manufacturer performance management across cost and productivity, capacity management, business continuity and readiness, and continuous improvement.

  • Establish and lead a structured supplier governance model including performance scorecards, QBRs, strategic business reviews, corrective-action governance, and executive relationship management.

  • Build strong, transparent relationships with senior leadership at strategic manufacturing partners, creating mutual accountability for performance while developing long-term partnerships capable of supporting Sol de Janeiro’s growth.

  • Partner with Planning on capacity requirements and longer-term network needs while maintaining clear accountability boundaries between commercial/capacity management and day-to-day production planning and schedule execution.

  • Identify opportunities to strengthen, consolidate, diversify, regionalize, or otherwise evolve the manufacturing network based on business growth, economics, capability requirements, capacity, and risk.

  • Drive continuous improvement and productivity across the external manufacturing network in partnership with internal Supply Chain and Product & Innovation teams.

Supplier Performance, Risk & Resilience

  • Build and lead an enterprise supplier performance management framework that creates clear expectations, measurable performance standards, and accountability across strategic suppliers and contract manufacturers.

  • Develop supplier scorecards and governance processes that provide meaningful visibility to performance, trends, risks, and corrective actions.

  • Establish proactive supplier risk-management practices across the supply base, including business continuity planning, supplier financial health, geographic and geopolitical exposure, capacity risk, concentration risk, and appropriate dual-sourcing strategies.

  • Ensure strategic suppliers and manufacturing partners maintain appropriate business continuity and capacity plans to support Sol de Janeiro’s growth and service requirements.

  • Lead escalation and corrective-action governance for significant supplier commercial or performance issues, partnering closely with the appropriate functional leaders.

Indirect Procurement

  • Lead the continued development of Sol de Janeiro’s enterprise Indirect Procurement capability, creating a roadmap that prioritizes spend categories based on value, risk, business need, and organizational capacity.

  • Partner with Commercial and Marketing leadership on strategic sourcing and commercial negotiations across areas including marketing, creative, agency, and other significant external spend.

  • Partner with Supply Chain and functional leaders on major infrastructure and support investments, including 3PL and logistics contracts, capital investments, technology, software, and other strategic services.

  • Develop category strategies and competitive sourcing approaches appropriate to the needs of each function while maintaining the speed and flexibility required by a rapidly growing organization.

  • Build strong partnerships with functional leaders, positioning Procurement as a value-creating business partner that helps teams make better commercial decisions rather than simply acting as a purchasing or approval function.

Procurement Excellence & Governance

  • Own and continuously evolve Sol de Janeiro’s procurement policies, sourcing processes, approval frameworks, competitive bidding standards, supplier governance, and procurement controls based on the needs of the business and external best practices.

  • Build scalable procurement processes that strengthen commercial discipline and visibility without introducing unnecessary complexity or slowing the organization.

  • Develop greater visibility into enterprise spend, supplier concentration, sourcing opportunities, contract coverage, performance, and risk.

  • Establish clear metrics, operating rhythms, and reporting that allow leadership to understand sourcing performance, supplier health, productivity delivery, and key risks and opportunities.

  • Leverage SAP as the foundation for disciplined procurement processes, data integrity, spend visibility, supplier management, and performance reporting.

  • Identify opportunities to improve procurement technology, analytics, data, and processes as the organization continues to scale.

Who You Are

  • An experienced global sourcing and supply chain executive with 15+ years of progressive leadership experience across Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Contract Manufacturing, and Supplier Management within beauty, CPG, or a similarly fast-paced consumer products environment.

  • A proven leader of global sourcing organizations with significant experience managing complex direct material and component spend, indirect procurement, and outsourced manufacturing networks.

  • Deeply experienced in contract manufacturing, with demonstrated responsibility for CM sourcing, commercial negotiations, capacity strategy, supplier relationships, performance management, and network development.

  • Experienced supporting high-velocity innovation and new product development environments where sourcing speed, cost, capacity, and commercial decision-making are critical to successful launches.

  • A sophisticated commercial negotiator who understands supplier economics, cost structures, competitive sourcing, contracting, and how to create sustainable value without compromising strategic supplier relationships.

  • Able to operate equally effectively at the strategic and operational levels—from developing a global manufacturing network strategy or negotiating with a supplier CEO to reviewing sourcing economics, supplier scorecards, or a critical launch issue.

  • A strong cross-functional partner who understands that sourcing excellence requires close collaboration with Product & Innovation, Packaging, Planning, Finance, Commercial, Marketing, and other business leaders.

  • Commercially minded and externally oriented, with the ability to understand both Sol de Janeiro’s business priorities and the capabilities, economics, incentives, and constraints of our strategic partners.

  • Highly analytical and comfortable using data to drive negotiations, supplier decisions, network strategies, risk assessments, and performance management.

  • Experienced operating in international and global supply environments, including managing suppliers and manufacturing partners across multiple geographies.

  • Deeply experienced with SAP and modern procurement processes, with a strong understanding of how systems, master data, analytics, and process discipline enable a scalable global procurement organization.

  • Comfortable operating in a rapidly growing, highly innovative organization where priorities evolve quickly and leaders are expected to create structure while maintaining speed and flexibility.

  • A strong people leader with experience developing senior sourcing and procurement talent, setting clear accountability, and building high-performing teams.

  • A relationship builder who can be demanding on performance while creating constructive, long-term partnerships with suppliers and contract manufacturers.

  • Curious, pragmatic, decisive, and willing to challenge existing approaches while remaining highly collaborative.
