A Chartered Psychologist, trauma-informed business growth consultant. She works with high performers, entrepreneurs, and leadership teams to support sustainable success, leadership, visibility, and growth without burnout.
Her work includes transformational workshops, high-level mentoring, corporate training, courses, and digital programs.
She is looking for a skilled and reliable Video & Audio Editor who can help transform her existing video and audio content into polished, professional content for Instagram, YouTube, courses, and programs.
Position Overview
The primary responsibility of this role will be to edit professional, engaging short-form video content, particularly Instagram Reels.
The ideal candidate should be comfortable editing both talking-head videos and B-roll footage, with the ability to create content that feels polished, professional, visually engaging, and aligned with a premium personal brand.
The role will also include audio editing for courses, programs, and longer-form content.
This is an ongoing position, initially around 10 hours per week, with a minimum commitment of 10 hours per week based on agency requirements. Additional hours may be available as the workload grows.
Key Responsibilities
Instagram Video Editing – Primary Responsibility
- Edit approximately 3–4 Instagram Reels per week
- Edit talking-head videos into engaging short-form content
- Incorporate relevant B-roll footage
- Create polished and visually engaging Reels
- Improve pacing, transitions, and overall viewer engagement
- Add captions/subtitles and other appropriate visual elements
- Use existing video footage and B-roll provided by the client
- Maintain a professional and consistent visual style
- Follow content references and examples provided by the client
- Prepare videos in formats suitable for Instagram
YouTube Video Editing – Secondary Responsibility
- Edit longer-form YouTube content as needed
- YouTube content is currently expected approximately once per week or once every two weeks
- Apply appropriate editing, pacing, captions, transitions, and visual elements
- Repurpose existing content where appropriate
Audio Editing
- Edit audio recordings for courses and digital programs
- Clean and improve audio quality
- Remove unnecessary sections, pauses, mistakes, and background noise where appropriate
- Edit longer audio recordings into polished, usable content
- Prepare audio files for courses, programs, and other digital products
- Support occasional audio-editing projects as required
Additional Content Support
- Repurpose existing video content into social media assets when appropriate
- Create simple carousels or other visual content when required and within the VA's skill set
- Organize and work efficiently with provided video, audio, and B-roll assets
- Maintain consistency with the client's existing content style and brand
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in professional video editing
- Strong experience editing Instagram Reels
- Experience with talking-head videos
- Strong understanding of B-roll and how to incorporate it effectively
- Experience creating polished short-form social media content
- Experience with audio editing
- Ability to edit content for courses, programs, and digital products
- Strong attention to detail
- Good understanding of pacing, storytelling, transitions, captions, and visual composition
- Ability to follow creative direction and references
- Ability to work independently and meet agreed deadlines
- Strong organizational skills
Preferred Technical Skills
The client currently uses CapCut, so experience with CapCut is preferred.
However, the client is open to candidates who use other professional editing software, provided they can demonstrate a strong portfolio and high-quality editing skills.
Candidates may have experience with tools such as:
- CapCut
- Adobe Premiere Pro
- Final Cut Pro
- DaVinci Resolve
- Adobe Audition
- Other professional video/audio editing platforms
The quality of the final work is more important than the specific software used.
Creative Standard
This is not a basic video-editing role.
The client specifically wants someone who can produce polished, professional content that reflects the quality of her work and personal brand.
The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate:
- Strong visual judgment

- Good pacing
- Creative use of B-roll
- Effective talking-head editing
- Clean captions and graphics
- Attention to detail
- A refined and premium look
Candidates should provide a portfolio demonstrating this level of work.
Content Volume
Initial expected workload:
- 3–4 Instagram Reels per week
- Occasional YouTube videos, approximately weekly or every two weeks
- Ongoing audio editing for courses and programs
- Additional content-editing tasks as required
Hours
- Initial requirement: approximately 10 hours per week
- Opportunity to increase hours as workload grows
- The client has indicated that there will generally be additional tasks available if the editing workload does not use the full weekly allocation
Schedule & Availability
The VA does not need to work according to the client's exact time zone or a fixed schedule.
The role can be completed on a flexible schedule, provided agreed deadlines are consistently met.
The client generally provides sufficient notice for assignments and expects the VA to deliver completed work by the agreed deadline.
