We are looking for a video editor and AI content specialist who can take raw shoot footage, app screen recordings, and AI-generated visuals and turn them into content that stops the scroll and moves people to act. You'll have real creative freedom on concepts, a paid AI tool stack, and a direct line to leadership.
About Swapp
Swapp is a car subscription platform based in Dubai that offers a digital, flexible, and affordable alternative to buying or leasing vehicles. Our platform provides customers with access to a wide range of vehicles, allowing them to swap cars as often as they like. We are dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service and building scalable, tech-driven mobility solutions.
What you'll do
- Edit for both organic and paid, roughly equally. Organic means Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube videos, built to win attention with creative finesse. Paid means Meta and TikTok ad creatives built to convert. You'll learn how the two differ and make and edit for each.
- Translate Briefs to Assets. Take detailed concepts from the Creative Strategist and turn them into finished creative outputs with speed and accuracy.
- Own your edits from rough concepts to export. You'll work from briefs, scripts, and storyboards, and can pitch your own ideas when you see a better angle. Strong concepts get made, and if you have a point of view on creative direction, there's room to grow into it.
- Build hooks that hold. Engineer the first 3 seconds, then pace the rest with rhythm, tension, and payoff so people watch to the end.
- Generate what wasn't filmed. Use tools like Runway, Kling, Veo, Higgsfield, ElevenLabs, and Topaz to create b-roll, backgrounds, voiceovers, and visual effects. You'll also use them to make completely ai-generated videos, upscale footage and fill gaps where necessary.
- Make AI content people actually share. Create funny, out-of-the-box AI videos, like skits, characters, absurd scenarios, and UGC-style formats. Jump on viral AI styles as they emerge, whether that's a new visual look, a talking-object trend, or whatever the feed is obsessed with this month.
- Turn trends into Swapp content, fast. When a Reel or TikTok format is blowing up, adapt it for Swapp while it's still rising. That means recreating the edit style, the pacing, and the audio cue, then making it ours.
- Break the rules on purpose. Experiment with unorthodox edits: jump cuts that shouldn't work, glitchy transitions, viral meme formats, strange pacing, anything that makes someone stop and rewatch. Not every experiment will land, and that's expected. We'd rather test ten weird ideas than post one safe one.
- Design motion and type. Create on-screen text animation, kinetic typography, captions, callouts, and transitions that feel current and on-brand.
- Make it sound right. Handle audio mixing, music selection, and sound effects that give each video its energy.
What you'll be working with
Raw footage of our fleet, screen recordings of the Swapp app, and whatever you can generate with AI. You won't be filming, but you will be expected to make a mixed bag of raw material feel like one brand.
You're a strong fit if you
- Have 2 to 4 years of professional editing experience, with short-form social as a core part of it.
- Are fluent in Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve, plus After Effects, and are fast in CapCut desktop.
- Already use generative AI tools in your real workflow, not just for experiments.
- Have a genuine sense of humor and know what makes internet audiences laugh, not just what looks polished.
- Can name the last three trends you jumped on, and what you did with them.
- Have a sharp ear for sound and a good eye for color.
- Are comfortable working across smartphone footage, 4K b-roll, UI recordings, and animated assets in a single edit.
- Move fast without getting sloppy. This is a high-output role in a small team.
Bonus points if you
- Have experience with automotive, lifestyle, or app and product content.
- Have pitched and owned a recurring content format.
What you get
- Creative freedom on concepts, with room to step into creative direction.
- Access to performance data on your own work.
- A direct line to leadership. No layers between your idea and a yes.
- Fully remote
How to apply
A portfolio or showreel is required. Applications without one won't be reviewed.
Include 3 pieces you're proudest of. For each one, add one or two lines covering:
- what you were given to work with,
- what you were trying to achieve,
Bonus: mention one piece where you took a trending format/reel or a viral AI style and made it your own.
