About the Role
We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Video Editor to join our content team on a contractor basis. In this role, you will create Portuguese-language episode videos for our app by adapting approved English-language source videos to Portuguese episode audio. You will work with English motion videos or image sheets, Portuguese audio, subtitles, and Client-provided AI tools to deliver polished motion and stills episodes that accurately support the Portuguese story.
Responsabilities
1. Motion Episode Production
Create Portuguese SRT subtitle files from the episode audio using the AI tool provided by Pocket FM.
Combine English episode motion videos with the corresponding Portuguese episode audio and ensure accurate synchronization between audio and visuals.
Review the Portuguese narrative and rearrange English source visuals where needed so that the final motion video supports the Portuguese story.
Add Portuguese subtitles to the completed motion video and submit the episode for quality control review.
2. Stills Episode Production
Generate Portuguese SRT subtitle files from the applicable Portuguese episode audio.
Use the English episode image sheet, Portuguese episode audio, and SRT file in the Client-designated AI tool to generate the final stills video.
Review each stills video for complete, readable subtitles and alignment with the supplied Portuguese audio before submission.
3. Quality Control and Rework
Submit completed motion and stills episodes for quality control review in accordance with the Client's workflow.
Review QC feedback, make the requested corrections, and resubmit episodes until final approval is received.
Treat an episode as final only after it has been approved by the Client's quality control reviewers.
4. Collaboration and Production Standards
Work closely with the content team and designated stakeholders to clarify source materials, story alignment, quality feedback, and delivery requirements.
Follow established content standards and production guidelines to maintain consistency across Portuguese episode videos.
Manage assigned episodes responsibly and communicate progress, delivery status, and blockers to the reporting manager.
Deliver polished, high-quality videos within agreed production timelines.
5. Technology and Continuous Learning
Use the Client-provided AI tools for subtitle generation and stills-video production as directed.
Stay current with relevant video-editing, subtitling, and AI-assisted production workflows.
Adopt new tools, templates, and production processes introduced by the Client.
