Video Editor Internship - Long & Short Format

Role Description This remote Video Editor Intern – Long & Short Format role is an internship position focused on supporting the creation of video content for various digital platforms. The intern will assist in editing long-form and short-form video materials, assembling raw footage, and aligning edits with brand guidelines and project objectives. Day-to-day tasks include organizing assets, trimming and sequencing clips, adding transitions and basic effects, and collaborating with creative and marketing teams to refine storylines. The intern will also help prepare different aspect ratios and versions for social media, perform basic sound cleanup, and ensure timely delivery of assigned projects. This role offers hands-on learning, constructive feedback from senior editors, and opportunities to contribute creative ideas to ongoing video campaigns.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform core Video Production tasks, including organizing footage, managing file structures, and supporting basic shoot preparation.
• Proficiency or strong interest in Video Editing for long-form and short-form content using common editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve).
• Foundational skills or willingness to learn Video Color Grading to maintain consistent visual tone and enhance overall image quality.
• Capability to work with Motion Graphics and Graphics to create simple titles, lower thirds, overlays, and social media visuals.
• Strong attention to detail, time management skills, and ability to follow creative direction while meeting deadlines in a remote environment.
• Good communication skills and readiness to receive feedback, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and adapt to changing project requirements.
• Enrollment in or completion of a relevant program (film, media, communication, design) is beneficial but not mandatory; a portfolio or sample work demonstrating editing skills is highly preferred.
