Video Editor (Kolkata-Based) — Communication & Campaign Content

About the role:

Zeltis communicates key governance and policy initiatives to the public through accessible video content across digital and broadcast platforms. The role requires a Video Editor to shape raw footage with strict adherence to factual accuracy, cultural sensitivity, and complete discretion regarding sensitive materials.

What you'll do

• Edit short-form and long-form video for social, digital, broadcast, and event use.
• Apply motion graphics, colour grading, sound design, and transitions suited to the platform.
• Deliver rapid-response edits during announcements, launches, and live events, including evenings, late nights, and public holidays when a deadline demands it.
• Build and check Bengali subtitles, supers, and voice-over sync, catching errors in Bengali on-screen text before export.
• Verify every cut — official nomenclature, scheme names, figures, logos, on-screen text — before export.
• Work with creative, copy, and production teams on tight turnarounds, both in-office and on shoot, review, and live-event days and remotely on solo editing days.
• Keep project files organised and versioned so any edits can be revised at short notice.

What we are looking for:

• Proficiency in Bengali is a must — you must be able to read and work confidently with Bengali copy across subtitles, supers, and voice-over. Working English required; Hindi is a plus.
• 3–5 years of professional editing experience. Newsroom, production house, digital studio, agency, or in-house campaign background preferred.
• Advanced Premiere Pro and After Effects; working familiarity with DaVinci Resolve or CapCut.
• Comfortable with a six-day working week and a hybrid arrangement based in Kolkata, review, live-event, and sensitive-footage days.

Location: Kolkata (Hybrid WFH and on-site based on performance)
