The Video Editor will work closely with the creative team to assemble raw footage into polished videos for digital platforms. Day-to-day tasks include organizing and selecting clips, editing video sequences, adding transitions and effects, synchronizing audio, and refining visual storytelling to align with project goals. The role may also involve basic motion graphics and color adjustments to enhance the overall look and feel of content. Volunteers are expected to manage their time responsibly, communicate progress clearly, and collaborate via online tools and meetings. Qualifications
Candidates should possess skills in Video Production and Video Editing for assembling and refining raw footage into cohesive stories.
Candidates should possess skills in Video Color Grading to enhance visual consistency, mood, and overall image quality.
Candidates should possess skills in Motion Graphics and Graphics to create simple titles, lower thirds, and visual elements that support the narrative.
Basic familiarity with industry-standard editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar) is beneficial.
Strong attention to detail, visual storytelling ability, and a collaborative mindset are preferred.
Reliable internet access and the ability to work independently in a remote setting are required.
Prior experience in video editing, media production, or a related field (including personal or academic projects) is an advantage but not mandatory.
