Role Overview
Reporting to the Senior Creative Director, EXP’s Video Producer is responsible for planning, coordinating and delivering video projects that support corporate firmwide marketing, communications, business development and recruiting initiatives. This role serves as the primary project manager for video productions, working with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within scope and aligned with brand standards.
This position is ideal for an experienced producer who can manage multiple projects simultaneously, coordinate resources and keep projects moving efficiently. While the role should be able to jump into the editing suite as needed, it is not expected to serve as the primary editor.
What You’ll Work On
Projects may include social and digital campaigns, website content, recruiting and culture-focused stories, event and conference videos, client and project highlight reels, pursuit support and internal communications and training videos.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead video projects from intake through final delivery, defining objectives, audience, scope, roles, milestones, review requirements and deliverables while managing schedules, resources and multiple concurrent priorities.
- Translate business and communication goals into practical video approaches, contributing to concepts, story structure, interview questions, scripts, media selection, production briefs and storyboards.
- Serve as the central point of coordination for internal stakeholders, creative partners, subject-matter experts, field teams and external vendors, identifying missing inputs, approvals, risks and tradeoffs early to keep work moving.
- Manage post-production workflows, organize feedback, guide revisions and confirm final deliverables meet EXP’s brand, quality, technical and accessibility standards.
- Maintain organized project files, production documentation and video assets, while helping establish scalable intake processes, production tiers, templates, naming conventions, review gates, vendor resources and repeatable workflows.
- Recommend the most effective production approach (internal, repeatable-format, freelance or vendor-supported) based on project needs, geography, timing and technical requirements, and collaborate across EXP to build trust with audiences from executive leadership to technical and field teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Film, Media Production, Journalism, Marketing, Communications or related field.
- 5+ years of experience producing video content in a corporate, agency, media, or production environment. Architecture/Engineering/Consulting (AEC) or professional services industry a plus.
- Experience managing multiple concurrent projects and stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of the full video production lifecycle, from discovery and pre-production through production, post-production and delivery.
- Excellent communication, project management and organizational skills, with the confidence to work effectively across roles, levels and technical backgrounds.
- Strong project management, communication and organization skills.
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud and current video production technologies.
Ingredients for Success
- Experience producing video content for professional services, architecture, engineering, corporate communications, recruiting or business development audiences is valuable.
- Experience with digital asset management systems, standards and multimedia workflows.
- The ability to build trust and adapt communication style when working with executive leadership, creative partners, technical professionals, field teams and vendors.
- Confidence using creative project management tools, review platforms and asset-management practices to create clear, repeatable workflows and keep content organized for accessibility and reuse.
- A consistent focus on brand alignment, production quality, technical requirements and accessible video delivery across audiences and channels.
- Basic video editing and motion graphics knowledge, with the ability to evaluate edits and provide clear creative feedback.
- A collaborative, flexible mindset and an interest in helping EXP build a focused, scalable video capability that works effectively within a lean team.
- A curiosity for continuous learning and improvement, including an interest in exploring emerging AI tools and ideas that can strengthen creative operations.
