Shift: Overnight – U.S. EST Hours

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Virtual Medical Assistant (VMA) with hands-on experience in Home Health operations and AlayaCare EMR. The VMA will provide administrative and operational support to the Home Health team, ensuring patient records, documentation, scheduling, and daily workflows are handled accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain patient records and documentation in AlayaCare EMR.
  • Update patient information, visit details, care-related documentation, and other required records.
  • Support daily Home Health administrative and operational workflows.
  • Assist with scheduling, appointment coordination, and follow-ups.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate patient and caregiver information.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, clinicians, caregivers, and other healthcare staff as required.
  • Review documentation for completeness, accuracy, and timely updates.
  • Assist with tracking pending tasks, follow-ups, and required documentation.
  • Handle routine communication and administrative requests related to patient care operations.
  • Ensure all patient information is handled securely and in compliance with HIPAA and confidentiality requirements.
  • Maintain productivity and accuracy while working independently during overnight hours.
  • Perform other administrative and VMA-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Mandatory hands-on experience with AlayaCare EMR.
  • Previous experience working in U.S. Home Health is required.
  • Good understanding of Home Health workflows and documentation processes.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare terminology and patient records.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Must be willing to work overnight U.S. EST hours.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA and patient data confidentiality.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience supporting U.S.-based Home Health agencies.
  • Strong proficiency with EMR-based documentation and administrative workflows.
  • Ability to quickly identify missing or incomplete information and follow up appropriately.
  • Good computer skills and ability to work across multiple healthcare systems.
