Volunteer, First Tee - Jersey Shore (part-time, at-will, seasonal)

First Tee Overview

First Tee - Jersey Shore is a junior golf program with a focus on introductory and beginner access to golf. We create experiences through golf that build character to empower kids through a lifetime of new challenges and continuous personal growth. We provide additional pathways and support for young golfers to advance in their golf journeys outside of First Tee.

Job Summary and Details

First Tee Volunteers are responsible for assisting First Tee Lead & Assistant Coaches in the active delivery of First Tee curriculum during special clinics and opportunities. Volunteers are assigned to support our team at a variety of different golf engagements for First Tee kids throughout the season.

Experience & Requirements

• Excellent knowledge of the game of golf (rules, skills, etiquette) & adequate personal golf skills required
• Prior experience coaching youth sports strongly preferred
• Knowledge and understanding of First Tee program mission & purpose required
• Previous experience working with youth in a classroom, camp or similar preferred
• Candidate must be 18 or older
• Candidate must complete safety compliance training prior to volunteering

Job Details

• Part-time, at-will, seasonal volunteer position
• Golf season typically runs April - end of October/beginning of November
• Sporadic trainings & meetings during off-season (remote and in-person)
• Volunteer is responsible for transportation to and from program sites
