What We Do
Heartline Hong Kong (IRD: 91/19433) is a registered mental health charity founded in 2021 by local university students and has been run continuously by university students and young adults. Our vision includes (1) to provide emotional support to youth in distress; (2) to empower youths and unleash their potential in long-term commitment to mental health service delivery; and (3) to make mental health care diverse, inclusive, and accessible for all. There are four core principles our volunteers abide by when they are providing our core text-based emotional support service, including (1) anonymity, (2) confidentiality, (3) non-judgmental, and (4) non-directiveness. Since our inception, we have trained more than 370 volunteers and handled over 9,000 texts and calls. Beyond our core listening services, we have partnered with universities, non-governmental organizations, and secondary schools to promote mental health awareness in the community through interactive workshops, human libraries, exhibitions, and talks, reaching more than 10,000 attendees in 2025-2026.
