Volunteer Position: Finance & Nonprofit Support Specialist

About the Role: We are seeking an experienced, trustworthy volunteer to support us in building strong, clear, and sustainable financial processes. Ideally, you bring a strong understanding of the German finance/tax system and nonprofit structures , and you’re excited to contribute your knowledge to help a mission-driven team grow in the right direction. Responsibilities: In order to apply for the volunteering positionit is mandatory to have participated in one workshop. Help us design and structure our internal financial systems (budgeting, tracking, reporting) Offer guidance on tax and legal compliance for nonprofits in Germany Support the setup of tools or processes based on best practices Optionally train or support team members as needed Ideal Background: Strong experience in finance, accounting, or financial management Knowledge of the German finance and tax system (especially for gUGs , e.V.s, or other nonprofit structures) Experience working with or advising nonprofit organizations in Germany Bonus: fluent in German (or comfortable navigating German documentation) Reliable, structured, and comfortable working independently and collaboratively Note: If someone has strong financial experience but not yet nonprofit or German-specific knowledge , we are happy to provide onboarding and support. The most important qualities are experience, structure, and motivation to contribute meaningfully .
